The Sunday Salon.com

The Sunday Salon used to be a meme but was getting so huge it became unmanageable, so it is now a Facebook group that has become an informal week in review
gathering place for bloggers.

It is also a place to share our thoughts about things of a bookish nature.

So Happy Sunday Everyone!

Been a super busy week both here on my blog and with my family.

Yesterday we said goodbye to my sister-in-law’s mom. She will be missed by so many. Then we went to my niece’s baby shower. It won’t be long until we will be welcoming a new little boy into the world and my daughter is due right before Christmas and another new little boy will join the family.

My weekly blog recap and the September wrap up are below but the biggest blog news seems to be that Feedburner is back up and running but I did lose a few readers which always makes me sad. Still not exactly sure what future plans Google has for this feature many of us use so I still plan to keep the extra “Subscribe” Button at the top of the page active just in case 🙂

Weekly Recap September 23-30

The Tears Water the Seeds of Hope Virtual Blog Tour kicked off on Monday. You can check the widget in the sidebar for links to the tour participant blogs. Many are giving a copy of the book away and Kim has written some wonderful guest posts. She is also being interviewed by a few bloggers. The tour goes through October 29.

Also on Monday I posted my It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? post. Unfortunately several other things needed my attention and for the first time ever I did not visit anyone. I promise to do much better this week.

Tuesday I did double duty. I posted my review of Murder Unmentionable (Sweet Nothings). This is a brand new cozy series. Then the blogger that was supposed to host a guest post on the tour I mentioned above had a family emergency so I posted that great guest post here. I will be hosting my blog stop for the tour tomorrow.

Cozy Wednesday brought author Molly MacRae by for a visit. Last Wool and Testament is the first book in the Haunted Yarn Shop Mysteries. I am giving away 2 copies!

Thursday I hosted a Virtual Book Tour for Murder Takes Time: Friendship & Honor Series, Book One (Volume 1). This is quite a book. Check out my review here. The author is giving away 3 e-book copies to my readers. Be sure to enter.

Friday was the start of BlogFest 2012. You can find my giveaway here. Be sure to hop around to all of the other great blogs hosting giveaways too. The hop ends tonight.

Saturday was the second edition to Surfin’ Saturday. It is fun putting this post together.

This was also Week 9 in the Iced Chiffon Giveaway. There is still time to win a copy. Duffy Brown will be my guest this week for Cozy Wednesday.

September Wrap Up
Reading Challenge 2012
This month was gone in the blink of an eye.
We had so much going on my reading time was cut down greatly.
I am surprised that I finished 16 books.

September Totals 16 books – 4676 Pages – 4057 KB
Totals Through September 166 Books – 48857 Pages – 18990 KB

I finished the A-Z Challenge.
I only added 1 pin to my Where Are You Reading Map so I still have 8 states to go.

I hope you all have a wonderful October!

  1. Oh me! Sixteen books! Good for you!

Here’s my Sunday Salon. I hope you will stop by!

  2. You had a good month! And congrats on the new babies coming….

I never enjoyed Feed reading…always preferred e-mail subscriptions. I removed the Feedburner from my two blogger sites and left the default feeds up and the e-mail subscription, just like I have on Word Press.

I always get nervous about Blogger, as they do things without warning. I have Google mail, too, so I never know what to expect.

Have a great week! Here’s MY SUNDAY SALON POST

  3. Nice month of reading.. I have 4 of those books on my TBR but wont get to them till I’ve read the publisher books I’ve received. Mazel Tov on all the soon to be family additions… Lots of sleepless nights and spit stained tops to go around. (been there done that 4 times).

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
