Cleaning off one of my shelves with 3 offerings today!
Spring Cleaning Escape #1
Sometimes we need to examine carefully the things we think we know: the pet shop owner in town, the teenage girl who lives next door, the people with whom we work, or the nice man who walks his dog each evening in our neighborhood.
The stories in this collection will drive that point home, and perhaps give you reason to re-define the word “inhuman.”
In this quirky and literate collection, crime comes in many forms and sometimes the mystery surrounding it is why we didn’t see it before it was too late. Take wild trip through a bumpy minefield of human – and otherwise – endeavor and see what makes us tick.
But read it with the lights on.
Spring Cleaning Escape #2
Redemption Day is a highly paced thriller set in Washington DC. The story is founded upon historical events and documented teachings of the Posse Comitatus. The Posse was an anti-government militia group in the 1980 s that tried to convince farmers that banks could not lawfully foreclose on their properties. Their beliefs led to the bombing of the Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City on a date of significance to the group April 19.

In Malice, Quite Close: A Novel
A haunting and sophisticated debut in which priceless art and unspeakable desires converge.
French ex-pat Tristan Mourault is the wealthy, urbane heir to a world- renowned collection of art-and an insatiable voyeur enamored with Karen Miller, a fifteen-year-old girl from a working-class family in San Francisco. Deciding he must “rescue” Karen from her unhappy circumstances, Tristan kidnaps her and stages her death to mask his true crime.
Years later, Karen is now “Gisele” and the pair lead an opulent life in idyllic and rarefied Devon, Washington. But when Nicola, Gisele’s young daughter, stumbles upon a secret cache of paintings-all nudes of Gisele-Tristan’s carefully constructed world begins to crumble. As Nicola grapples with the tragedy that follows, she crosses paths with Amanda Miller, who comes to Devon to investigate the portraits’ uncanny resemblance to her long-lost sister.
Set against a byzantine backdrop of greed, artifice, and dangerous manipulations, In Malice, Quite Close is an intoxicating debut that keeps its darkest secrets until the very last page.
