Hi Everyone,
First I must say Thank You to all of you for helping me through this past week and going forward. This coming Sunday would have been Kris’s 30th birthday so it will be tough as we face the first of many firsts without him but with your support and those of family and friends I will make it through.
Tomorrow my review of Harlan Coben’s new book will post. I wrote this review before all this happened. I have 2 books waiting for me to write the reviews which I will do as soon as I can, one is a Cozy Wednesday book. Cozy Wednesdays will return soon. This week I plan to just post a giveaway. I will catch up it just may take me some time. I have been reading and rereading the same book the last few days and have barely made it to the halfway point and it is a great story so I am the problem, not the book.
I also have a bunch of giveaways and tour things to get caught up on and I will be working on those. All books already awarded are in the mail.
I just wanted to share will you the cover of program and prayer card cover. My son Kris was a collector of super heroes and video games and movies and none of the available covers seemed to fit so we designed a personal one just for him.
I believe there’s a hero in all of us,
that keeps us honest,
gives us strength,
makes us noble,
and finally allows us
to die with pride,
even though sometimes
we have to be steady,
and give up the thing
we want the most.
Even our dreams.

I am blessed to have have this online community. Without you the pain would have been great and I would probably wallowing in bed overcome by my grief. Knowing you are here gives me the push to get up each day and put one foot in front of the other. There are no words to convey the amount of appreciation I feel.
Lori
Take your time, dear. Your friends and fans will wait for you. Many of us can empathize with you, the rest of us can’t imagine how hard this is for you, but we are praying for you. God bless you ad all of your family…
What a fantastic cover and obviously a very fitting one! I cannot even begin to fathom what you are going through right now but I am praying for you with all of my might. My best to you and your family. God bless you all!
*hugs* What a great cover and obviously very fitting. Keeping you in my thoughts.
My heart just aches for you….I wish I could more than just lend you words of comfort but I know there really isn’t much more I can do. I have kept you in my prayers and pray that our Lord will see you through this heartbreaking time in your life. Please don’t worry about us, take your time and heal in your own way. Time really does not heal but it does help us to move forward. Thank you for all you’ve given us in the past, we’ll wait for you to come back in your own time.
I love the superhero in all of image. Please lean on your faith that you will be reunited some day and the good memories will bolster you during those terrible firsts.
Our thoughts have been with you and will continue.
please know you are in our thoughts and prayers. You have done a beautiful job with the prayer card cover. I am so very sorry for your loss. Please take all the time you need to grieve , it is a complicated journey and all of us that follow your blog will surely understand.
Dear Lori ~ I wish you and your family peace and healing. Please don’t pressure yourself, all of us understand you’re going through a terribly difficult time.
I have no words to offer that will take away your pain. Just know that you and yours are in my prayers. Condolences.
It’s hard to read that without the accompanying tears. The program suits him perfectly from what you have said about him as does the prayer card. You can certainly tell how much he means to you and how much you miss him. Next Sunday will be hard but we will be here for you as will your family and local friends, too.
Take what time you need and we will wait. It took me three months to wake from my fog when my sister died so many years ago. It was like I lived as a robot, performing but not knowing what I was doing and one day, I woke up again. Of course, 35 years later, I still wish she was here.
I love the program cover! You and your family continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.
Many good days and bad days lie ahead and we’ll support you through them all. Don’t worry if not everything goes exactly right with reviews or giveaways or anything else. I’m sure we will all understand. Just heal.
You’re in my prayers.
Prayers for your family
The prayer cover is wonderful. You and yours continue to be in my prayers.
Take your time, everyone handles grief in their own way. I appreciate your reviews and enjoy giveaways. I really wish there was more I could do to help.
Take the time you need for yourself. There is no rush. The cover and quote are beautiful and i could name all of the hereos. Please take care of yourseld first before you take care of us. I just found out that another blogger that i follow mom passed away last month from a long illness. We understand that bloggers are human too and have real lives to deal with. It’s going to take time. My dad passed ten months ago. I’m still struggling with it. ((Hugs))
All I can say is that you are amazing! We will continue to hold you in our prayers. It took me almost a year to get over losing my dad and he had been in bad health for a long time, so his death was not unexpected. It is never easy to get over the loss, even though we know they are in a better place. Thank you for all you do!
Just wonderful. Thanks for sharing.
You and yours are in our prayers.
Oh Lori, what a beautiful and fitting cover in honor of Kris. Please, just take your time with all of the things you need to do. Only do the things you want to do right now ok? We’ll be here regardless if you post once a day or once a month. I for sure am not going anywhere. Rest honeybun…you’re in my thoughts.
Take your time, grief needs to run its course. Prayers and hugs
I can’t imagine all you’re going through and I know the his birthday will be rough. The prayer card is wonderful. I love that you customized it to really fit your son’s interests.
