Trying something new. I have been missing my Feel Good Fridays (The blog that used to sponsor the meme has moved on to other things.) so I thought I would try this and see how it goes. The Sunday Salon used to be a meme but was getting so huge it became unmanageable, so it is now a Facebook group that has become an informal week in review gathering place for bloggers. It is also a place to share our thoughts about things of a bookish nature. So Happy Sunday Everyone! This is what Dollycas has been up to this past week!!!
Last Sunday I had picked out a good book, Sketch a Falling Star by Sharon Pape and lined up some snacks and a soda and turned on the television to watch the Daytona 500, then spent the day reading and watching it rain in Florida. The race was postponed until Monday night. I did watch the Oscars but was not overly excited about the show this year. The book however was really good!
Monday was spent blogging and reading until race time. The race was crazy with wrecks and even a fire but my all time favorite driver Matt Kenseth won The Great Race for the second time!! I hope he does as well today in PHOENIX!!
The rest of the week was spent wrapping up the month of February, I had read 18 books and am doing really well on my challenges.
On Thursday I featured a brand new Wisconsin Author Jolyn Palliata and her book Amber Eyes. I was surprised how much I liked this book when paranormal isn’t one of my favorite genres. You can enter the giveaway for a copy of the book here.
I did receive two books in the mail this week that I can wait to get at!!
I also spent some awesome time with my grandson yesterday. His imagination is priceless. An ordinary stick became a magic wand and he turned grandma into everything from a frog to a mama lion to a grandma MONSTER!!! Grandma was pretty tired by the time his mom came to pick him up but we had had so much fun!!
Oh yes, how could I forget, Winter has come back to Wisconsin with a pretty nice blizzard on Friday. Thankfully not storms like they had down south, but when you hear thunder during a snow storm you know Mother Nature means business!!!
I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday. Please leave some comments telling me about your week!!
Oh, that new James Patterson book looks interesting….
I read one of his Women’s Murder Club books this week; one that has been on my stacks for awhile.
Here’s MY SUNDAY SALON POST
I always wonder now with Patterson if he really wrote the book. I’m thinking probably not. http://carolineleavittville.blogspot.com/2010/01/is-it-wrong-for-james-patterson-not-to.html
I reviewed some books by the co-author last month and am really looking forward to this book.
Guilty Wives is on my list too. JP has so many new releases this year. I can’t keep up! I hope you have a good week.
Guilty Wives looks like a good read!
I’m jealous of all the fun you had with your grandson. I keep hinting to my sons but all I seem to get are dogs lol. The imagination of a child, isn’t it great? Can’t wait to see what you think of the new Patterson book. I enjoy memes have none for the weekends so would like to hear more about Sunday Salon. I know that the original were not taking any more sign ups so am wondering how would I go about participating in this, it sounds like fun.
