This great meme is hosted by Sheila at
“Book Journey”.
It’s a great way to start the week and
find out what other bloggers are reading.
My To-Be-Read pile has grown to an
unbelievable number thanks to this meme.
I hope you all had an awesome week!!! It was chilly, cloudy and rainy here so it was perfect reading weather. It was also a really heavy week around here as kids are deciding what to do next year regarding college. Both want to take some time off or change majors. We even had a visit from a Marine Recruiter as Jayme checked out his options. He has decided the Marines are not for him, at least right now. This economy is really affecting their choices. Just gas to get to school every day is really straining their budgets. Our budget is stressed too as Jeff commutes 55 miles one way every day for work. Thankfully there is talk of gas prices coming down. The good news is that each day brings us closer to the birth of our granddaughter. She is due to arrive around April 21. We are all excited and Amber and Kris are definitely ready for the big day. I’ll keep you posted!!
Now let’s talk books!!!

A Grand Murder was very good! I liked it a lot! I was definitely surprised! Happy Reading to you!
Can’t wait to get at it now!!
I am listening to a book that takes place in Wisconsin (The Art of Fielding). My son is taking time off from college too! Thankfully, he has a good job. Have a great week of reading.
I will have to add that one to my list!! Thanks for stopping by!
Good luck to your kids on their college decisions and congrats on the upcoming birth of your granddaughter! How exciting!! Have a great week of reading!
Thanks Julie!
Great selection of books!
College choices: we’re still a little away from that, about 4 more years… Can’t be easy. We have a university nearby and if times are tight, they’ll have to keep on living at home, assuming we can afford the college fees! 🙂
Have a good week!
Yes, they have been living at home to save on expenses and work their jobs but both think it’s time to reevaluate. Scary for mom.
looks like you read a lot this week. 🙂
Great list of books! I can’t wait to read Leann’s book. Have a great week!
The Ags Johnson book looks neat 🙂 Glad you liked it!
