The Sunday Salon used to be a meme but was getting so huge it became unmanageable, so it is now a Facebook group that has become an informal week in review
gathering place for bloggers.
It is also a place to share our thoughts about things of a bookish nature.

My best event of this past week was my granddaughter Natalie Nicole making her arrival on Tuesday at 2:17 p.m.
She weighed 8 pounds 13 ounces and is 20 inches long.
Mommy, Daddy and baby are doing great. Thankfully they live close by so spoiling by Nana and Papa will be very easy.
Now for book related news:
I took part in my normal It’s Monday! What Are You Reading Meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey. I had been taking part in a meme Monday’s Music Moves Me sponsored by Xmas Dolly for several weeks and am taking a break from that for a while. There were just not enough hours in the day to visit everyone. I have to say it was fun kicking off the week with some really good tunes.
Tuesday I reviewed an excellent book set here in Wisconsin in the early 1970’s.
The Sausage Maker’s Daughters
It is one of the best books I have read in many years and again it is a debut from a new author. So many good books already in 2012 and several are first publications.
Wednesday brought Erika Chase by for Cozy Wednesday. I am giving away 2 copies of her first book in the Ashton Corner Series, A Killer Read.
Thursday the virtual tour for A Grand Murder by Stacy Verdick Case made one of its last stops at Escape With Dollycas. I am giving away my gently read copy.
Friday I posted my review of Harlan Coben’s Stay Close.
Saturday I announced a Very Special Giveaway. Viking is sponsoring a giveaway for one of my followers to win Luanne Rice’s new book Little Night
I received several review requests from authors and a few e-books.
