Welcome to Cozy Wednesday!
I am so excited Kari Lee is not only here to visit but she has brought the characters from The Fortune Teller Mysteries with her. She is responsible for every aspect of their lives and today they are turning the tables and questioning her. Please help yourself to some tea, with Sunny here today maybe we can get her to read our tea leaves!
Welcome Everyone! We are thrilled you are here!
Kari Lee Townsend’s Characters Interview Her
Mitch: Okay, so you’ve been going around putting us in the hot seat, interviewing (more like interrogating) us. I say turnabout’s fair play. I want to know if you have any other crazy notions swirling around in that scary brain of yours?
Kari: If it wasn’t for me, you’d still be moping around and obsessed with your work with no life at all. At least having someone drive you crazy is better than having someone or something make you sad.
Sunny: Hey, I do not drive Detective Stone crazy. And if I do, it’s all your fault. You made me this way. Why on earth would you try to fix me up with someone my complete opposite anyway?
Kari: You know the saying…opposites attract. Besides, you need some grounding, and Grumpy Pants gives that to you. And he needs to loosen up and have fun, and let’s face it, you’re just so cute and quirky, Tink. You both need to just embrace what I’ve done and let yourselves enjoy each other.
Granny Gert: That’s what I’ve been trying to them, dear, but they are both too stubborn to listen. They’ll never have what my Frank and I had if they don’t shape up. I miss Frank, so thank you for letting me play dress up with Morty. He’s been such a good sport, and he looks so dapper in his spiffy bow ties, I must say.
Kari: You and your bow ties have been a big hit, Granny. I’m so glad at least one of you appreciates my story telling.
Mitch: I’m not saying you’re not talented, I’m just thinking you’re not all “there” at times. Jeesh, you women are so sensitive.
Sunny: Do you see what I mean? Forget opposites, you’ve made us polar opposites. How am I supposed to work with that? He’s impossible.
Mitch: Well, you’re a quack.
Granny Gert: Now now, children, let’s play nice in the sandbox. Right Morty?
Kari: Oh, boy. I see I have a lot more work to do on all of you. In the meantime, interrogation session officially over. Get back between the pages and let me do what I do best. Ugh. And they think I’m the crazy one. They’re all quite the characters, and even though they don’t know it, I plan to keep them that way 🙂
Oops, picking on your author is not a good idea for characters but us readers can’t wait to see what kind of trouble she writes for you next!
Thank you all for stopping by. No tea leaves being read today 🙂 But I will tell you about Kari Lee’s new book!

If you live in a place called Divinity you expect just a little bit of serenity, but since Sunny Meadows has come to town life has been anything but serene.
She finally cleared her name for one murder and now a woman has disappeared. The police are actually asking her to help them. Maybe this will lead to a second chance with hunky Detective Stone. Not likely, the missing woman happens to be Grumpy Pants’ ex-girlfriend.
After her visions lead them to a terrible discovery in the woods that implicates the great detective he needs her help and romance is set aside. After she saves the man she is falling in love with and catches the real culprit they can reexamine their relationship. But this time her clairvoyant abilities may let her down and what she doesn’t see could hurt her.
Dollycas’s Thoughts Wow! This story is full of surprises and so many gyrations. You will not be able to put it down. Kari Lee Townsend has written an really smart mystery with very interesting characters. The story is sprinkled with a “purrfect” portion of humor. Morty and Granny Gert are absolutely priceless. I wish we had a picture of Morty in one of his bow ties. There is also quite a bit of romantic tension between “Tink” and “Grumpy Pants”. I LOVED IT!!
Pass me one of of Granny’s special cookies and sign me up for an appointment with Sunny today. I think I am a crystal ball person myself but Sunny will know for sure. I going to just hang around Divinity and wait for the next adventure to start.
This is fabulous cozy mystery with light and fun paranormal aspects. I foresee that everyone will enjoy this story!
About This Author Kari Lee Townsend lives in central NY with her understanding husband, her 3 busy boys, and her oh-so-dramatic daughter who make everything she does worthwhile and provide loads of material for her books 🙂 She writes teen superheros and cozy mysteries set in small towns with mystical elements and quirky characters, as well as romantic comedies under the name Kari Lee Harmon. I like the idea of a little romantic tension in the novel. Mystery + Romance sounds great.
I haven’t had the pleasure of reading any of these books, but from the comments, the review and the interview, I’m obviously missing something great.
