The Sunday Salon used to be a meme but was getting so huge it became unmanageable, so it is now a Facebook group that has become an informal week in review
gathering place for bloggers.
It is also a place to share our thoughts about things of a bookish nature.

How has the weather been where you are? Here is Southern Wisconsin the heat and humidity has really been oppressive.
We did take our grandson to the local 4th of July parade on Wednesday. It was only about an hour long instead of the usual three. Too hot for any animals and didn’t see even one clown. Just a few floats, tractors, fire trucks, the local high school marching band and a few Zor Shiners.
This was not from my town but you get the idea.
The rest of the week has been spent indoors, staying out of the heat and staying cool.
Last night I had a nice treat. I got out to see Magic Mike with my daughters, niece and sister-in-law. Fun was had by all.
Last week was a slower pace on the blog front with the holiday and Mr. Dollycas home everyday on vacation. He had planned a bunch of outdoor work but it was just “too damn hot”.

Started out the week on Monday with Monday’s Music Moves Me! This is a fun meme conducted by Xmas Dolly, co-conductors Stacy from Stacy Uncorked, Lorie from The Shewbridges of Celebration, and Callie at Jamerican Spice. We start out each week dancing in our seats. This meme will celebrate its 100th week in just 4 weeks. The hosts are holding a huge giveaway and are always welcome to new bloggers joining the party.
Monday also means It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? Hosted by Sheila at “Book Journey”. This is my favorite meme. I love getting around and seeing what everyone is reading.
Tuesday was New Release Tuesday. So many new books came out including a bunch of new cozy mysteries, my favorites.
Cozy Wednesday moved to Thursday this week because of the holiday. Joelle Charbonneau was my guest. Murder for Choir (A Glee Club Mystery)
Friday was the start of the Summer Reads Giveaway Hop. The Hop runs through Wednesday.
Good morning!! Hot and humid here in little Rhody. My DH was also home a few days this past week and I didn’t get much accomplished since he was in a talkative mood lol. He just doesn’t get the concept when one has a book in hand, conversations should not take place lol. Have a great week!!
I wish I had seen Magic Mike with other women. I dragged my hubby, who had a good nap during most of the movie.
We did have fun and we all had to show up for church the next day for my granddaughter’s baptism, had a few thoughts that we needed to confess, lol.
Awesome graphic. I’d be afraid to take a book out of the shelves though in case the water came through!

It’s been really hot here, too; spent a lot of time indoors reading and trying out my new laptop. Got all hot again yesterday rearranging my office after my son took away the desktop. Goodbye to old things!
It’s hot here too, and there are so many states with higher than usual temps. I stay inside unless I HAVE to go out. Starting again on a weight loss journey tomorrow morning, so I’m glad I turned part of our entertainment room into a home gym. If I do go outside to walk I’ll have to go really early or just before dark.
I also received Greco’s Game! On the Island looks good!
