  1. Oops! Sounds like the heroine borrowed the wrong car this time! An aunt named KiKi, a victim named Cupcake and pink chiffon. Sounds like a fun jaunt in to the south!

  2. This sounds like a good cozy. I haven’t read anything by Duffy Brown, but I plan to read this. If it is the first in a series good. If it isn’t, I will l have to wait until I read the other books in the series. Crazy quirk I have…..I have to read a series in the order in which they were written. Going to Amazon.com now and look up Duffy Brown.

  3. I liked the excerpt from Duffy’s new book. Aunt Kiki and former weatherman Bernard seem like they’ll be great secondary characters. Definitely plan to check it out! Thanks!

  4. Thanks everyone for playing along. Great being here.

Iced Chiffon is the first in the Consignment Shop mystery series. The second, Killer in Crinolines, comes out in May.
Anyone wanting Iced Chiffon goodies just email me at DuffyBrown@DuffyBrown.com with your snail address and I’ll send along a packet.

Have a fun August. Where has this summer gone!! Lordy

  5. This sounds like an awesome new series! I hope that I win a copy of this book! The snippet looks like there will be some good humor in the book as well…mystery and humor, my favorite combo!

  6. This is exactly the type of chick lit I live for, witty and girly and suspensful…..I need this book! Kudos to Duffy Brown.

  7. Don’t you just love surprises? I mean really, a dead body in the trunk? Now I admit that I’ve got junk in my trunk (spare engine oil, power steering fluid, brake fluid etc.) but never a body. Actually finding a dead body might be interesting.. it would give my son in law a way to show the brass how good he’d be as a Detective. LOL

I’d love to win a copy of Iced Chiffon for my burgeoning home library… and I don’t do pink chiffon ever, it doesn’t go with my color.

  8. Sounds like a cute story – I think the writer has a great sense of humor and would be a good book to read. I would love to win.

  9. Oh this sounds wonderful! I can’t wait to read the rest. I absolutely LOVE these type of cozy mysteries and look forward to reading Iced Chiffon. Believe me, there have been days when I wish I DID carry a Martini in my purse! Have added this to my TBR list. Thanks for the opportunity to win this great giveaway!

    1. Hi, Amanda
There’s a place in Savannah…Jen’s and Friends…that does all kinds of martins. Snickers martini, strawberry shortcake, you name it. So much fun. We need a road trip there!

  10. The title had me… I wore pink chiffon to my 8th grade dance. Duffy Brown’s excerpt was very comical.
It revealed to me surprises come out in strange places. I need to read this to learn what to do if I ever come across a murdered, dead body. It will make me check everyday if anything or my Aunt Nell winds up missing. She has issues. Looking forward to reading a copy of Iced Chiffon!

  11. The cozy swept me away immediately. I like cozies with sleuths who like to renovate houses especially a sleuth who doesn’t know anything about tools. I also like Cherry House. I’m sure there are even more descriptions of it in the book.

    1. Cherry House is the only good thing Reagan got out of a seven year bad marriage and she’s determined to keep it… the house not the marriage. LOL

  12. “Pink Chiffon” reads like a terrific cozy mystery. Aunt Kiki is someone I would like to meet. She has such an upbeate attitude.

  13. I read the excerpt and the character page – and I’m hooked!

  14. They are certainly an odd assortment of characters. It will be fun getting to know them. Even poor Cupcake…need to know her story, too.

  15. I’m ready to read more. These characters are gonna be a hoot! I’d love to win a copy of Iced Chiffon. I love mysteries!

  16. It sounds like a good books. I especially love the charcters names kiki, raylene etc Gotta love it!!

  17. It sounds like an interesting bunch of characters and I would love to get to know them!

  21. Sounds like a real fun story with a aunt KIKi and being a cozy mystery and set in the South. What more could you ask for . I also love to shop in consignment shops . It will be interesting to find whats happening in this one . Thanks for the giveaway
