The Sunday Salon used to be a meme but was getting so huge it became unmanageable, so it is now a Facebook group that has become an informal week in review
gathering place for bloggers.
It is also a place to share our thoughts about things of a bookish nature.
So Happy Sunday Everyone!
I have been taking part the Summer Wrap Up Read-a-Thon but real life keeps cutting into my reading time. This keeps happening every time I sign up for these read-a-thons. I may just skip the next one and see what happens 🙂
I may not have gotten as much read this week as I wanted but it was a jam packed week here blogging.
Monday – The Usual Memes – It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? and Monday’s Music Moves ME!
Tuesday – New Release Tuesday – A Fantastic Batch of Books Was Released!
Wednesday – Cozy Wednesday brought author Peg Cochran by for a visit. Allergic to Death (A Gourmet De-Lite Mystery) hit me on a personal level.
Wednesday was also the start date for Week #2 of the Iced Chiffon Giveaway. Author Duffy Brown is sponsoring Pre-Release Giveaways for 10 weeks! Be sure to enter. Iced Chiffon (A Consignment Shop Mystery) hits bookstores October 2.
Thursday – Author Maggie Sefton was my Special Guest. Her new book Deadly Politics (A Molly Malone Mystery) was released this week.
Friday – I reviewed The Inn at Rose Harbor by Debbie Macomber. It’s the start of a new series by still set in Cedar Cove, Washington. It is being released in stores Tuesday.
Saturday – I reviewed Cera’s Place by Elizabeth McKenna. She is a Wisconsin Author and this is her first novel. It is available on Kindle and Nook for just 99 cents!
There are still a couple of spots open on the Tears Water the Seeds of Hope Virtual Tour. Just leave a comment telling me you are interested and I will contact you. You can also sign up to be a host for future Great Escape Book Tours here.
All these new books for September arrived!
So many good books!!
HAPPY READING!!
I love that garage door! We must share our love. It’s a worthy cause.
Here’s my Sunday Salon: In Which I, Once Again, Rant About the World and, Then, Find Hope in a Small Bookstore post.I hope you will stop by!
I skimmed through some of your earlier posts and noticed you didn’t like Broken Harbor by Tana French. I have to say I didn’t like her second book, The Likeness, even though I liked her first one. I guess it’s good that I didn’t continue trying to read her.
It was just too much, went on and on and on and I found myself quickly skimming parts just to get to the end. Now to write the review, ugh!
Oh, you did have a busy week! I love that garage door….and your books that arrived look so wonderful. Enjoy!
Here’s MY SUNDAY SALON POST
I showed that door to my hubby and he thought I wanted him to do that, lol. “its printed to just stick on, right??” too funny.
I haven’t gotten as much reading done with the read-a-thon either. I did finish 3 books and started on my fourth so I’m pretty happy with that.
Awesome new books! See you Wednesday! 🙂
Happy reading!
Ashley @ Dr. Pepper Diva
I did finish 1 more book yesterday but wish I had accomplished more 🙂
Congrats on a great week, Lori! Great books, great reading…
I’m going to be hosting Duffy Brown’s giveaways for the month of September. I’m looking forward to it and to reading her book. Looks wonderful!
Have another great week!
I can’t wait to get my hands on Duffy’s book!
