The Sunday Salon used to be a meme but was getting so huge it became unmanageable, so it is now a Facebook group that has become an informal week in review
gathering place for bloggers.
It is also a place to share our thoughts about things of a bookish nature.
So Happy Sunday Everyone!
Is it just me or did this month and the whole summer for that matter just fly by to quickly?
My reading time was less this month, especially last week as we were dealing with some family things but 18 books isn’t too bad.
Books Read In August

18 books – 5378 pages – 3091 KB
Total; through August
150 books – 44181 pages – 14933 KB
I also added 4 more pins to my Where Are You Reading? Map. Just 9 states to go.
Weekly Recap – August 27 – September 1
Monday – It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? hosted by Sheila at Book Journey.
Tuesday – I reviewed The Last Refuge by Ben Coes. Very interesting especially with what is going on in politics today.
Wednesday – Cozy Wednesday Joanna Campbell Slan was my guest and we talked about her new mystery series. The first book Death of a Schoolgirl (The Jane Eyre Chronicles) is definitely one of the best books I have read this year. If you are like me and wanted Jane Eyre’s story to continue you will love this book.
Thursday – I reviewed A Spoonful of Murder (A Soup Lover’s Mystery) by Connie Archer. This is the first book in a new cozy mystery series. A great debut.
Friday – I reviewed Dying to Read: A Novel (The Cate Kinkaid Files) by Lorena McCourtney. The wonderful folks at Book World have given me a copy to giveaway. This is the first book in a new series too.
Saturday – Back to the Books Giveaway Hop kicked off!
We are in Week 5 of the Iced Chiffon Giveaway. Easy entry this week, just leave a comment in the Sticky Post at the top of the page about a consignment store near you. You could win a copy of Iced Chiffon and a tote bag!!
You can find all my current giveaways here.
You are berating yourself for 18 books read? lol
I read 18 books and was congratulating myself….
Yes, the month sped by…and I can’t believe the grandkids are back in school.
Here’s
MY SUNDAY SALON POST
I know Laurel-Rain. I was with my sister yesterday and she informed me she reads many more books than I do a month. She works full-time but has no kids running around and I think she just reads faster than I do. 🙂
Wow, you had a great month! So many wonderful cozies! Hope you have a good week!
18 books is an awesome accomplishment! I wish I could read that many in a month.
Happy reading!
It always goes by too fast….
