The Sunday Salon used to be a meme but was getting so huge it became unmanageable, so it is now a Facebook group that has become an informal week in review
gathering place for bloggers.
It is also a place to share our thoughts about things of a bookish nature.
So Happy Sunday Everyone!
I think I am finally past the worst of this cold/flu virus and am reading as fast as I can to make up for when I couldn’t. As you will see in my November Recap below I ended up with a great reading month.
Do you use WordPress as a format for your blog? This past week there was a fantastic new Jetpack Upgrade that added a new comment system. The old way had me receiving hundreds of spam comments everyday. With the new system I only received 6 spam comments for the entire week. They have also upgraded the Subscription Service for emails. It works just like Feedburner, in fact the widget in the sidebar looks just like the Feedburner widget. A wonderful backup in case Google surprises us bloggers by taking Feedburner away.
Weekly Recap October 29 – November 3
Monday – It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? Hostes by Sheila at Book Journey.
Tuesday – I reviewed Then Came the Evening: A Novel by Brian Hart. This was my Just For Fun book for October and I was able to check off another state in my Where Are You Reading Challenge.
Wednesday – On Cozy Wednesday I featured the book The Chocolate Moose Motive: A Chocoholic Mystery by JoAnna Carl and I am giving away my gently read copy.
Thursday – I reviewed The Hiding Place by David Bell.
Friday – I reviewed The Bridge: A Novel by Karen Kingsbury.
Saturday – It was another Saturday Surfin‘ and I also reviewed You’ve Got Murder by Karin Tabke and Edie Ramer. This was a fun read.
October Wrap Up!
Despite being sick this month I did very well!!
I realized that Wall-to-Wall Dead (A Do-It-Yourself Mystery) was missing from my reading diary and from my August post so I have added it in here so I can balance my year to date numbers.
October Totals – 20 Books – 6136 Pages – 3458 KB
Totals Through October – 186 Books – 54993 pages – 22448 KB
I hope you all have an awesome November!
Happy Reading!
Wow! You had an impressive month! The titles look very engaging, too. My month was less than stellar, but not too bad, either.
I also read Blackberry Winter this month. Loved it!
Here’s MY SUNDAY SALON POST
