The Sunday Salon used to be a meme but was getting so huge it became unmanageable, so it is now a Facebook group that has become an informal week in review
gathering place for bloggers.
It is also a place to share our thoughts about things of a bookish nature.
The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by

~ It’s a chance to share news~
A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
Happy Sunday Everyone!!!
Be prepared this is a huge post 🙂
First I need to share pictures of
the newest reader in our family.

It has been just a crazy week. Look in my sidebar. 5 and 6 tours happening at the same time!!!
I do the cozy tours for Free thanks to some wonderful sponsors. Last week I announced a non-cozy tour, so not free, and the author was so excited about how fast it filled he wants to add more stops!!! One reviewer said “This book is so funny, I read it right through in one sitting. Insane. It is like Carl Hiaasen and Dave Barry left Florida for the Jersey shore, bringing Charlie Sheen with them.” If you would like to be part of this tour (at least 14 slots open) just click here and fill out the form.
In addition to the tours it was a busy week blogging, doing my best to squeeze in time to read, a bit of housework, and playing with my grandkids as much as possible. There have been times this week that have made me think of the crazy sayings my mother used to come up with like: “I have met myself coming and going” or “I don’t know if I was afoot or on horseback”. The whole month of September looks like more of the same.
August Review
It seems as if August just started and it is already over and the kids are headed back to school. The tours are cutting into my reading time. Yes Cheryl, you were right. Which also means the progress on my challenges is non-existent. Heck, I did NOT even read 1 book in August Just For Fun and that is my challenge!!!
Books Read
Totals: 16 Books – 4302 Pages 1996 KB
Year To Date Totals: 133 Books 38527 Pages 14658 KB
You can click here to see how pitifully I am doing on all of my challenges.

Congratulations on your first non-cozy Tour!!
I enjoyed “Do or Diner” – and I have started the series by Elizabeth Lynn Casey, and really enjoy it! =)
Love those blanket forts! I enjoyed those special moments….and now wish I had at least one more grandbaby! lol
You had a great month…enjoy your new one. Here’s MY SUNDAY UPDATES/MAILBOX MONDAY
You reminded me, I need to list August’s just for fun book over at goodreads! I did several so I have my pick for a change. 😀
Tours definitely cut into reading time and it sounds as if you are very busy.:) enjoy your grandkids, they come first.
Blanket forts are one of the best places to read. 🙂 Our first grandbaby is due March 1st. I am so not ready to be a grandma. My youngest kid is 12! lol
Looks like a cozy spot for reading to me, she is just adorable. Enjoy the week ahead.

Your granddaughter is beautiful and very smart, that IS the perfect spot to read!!
Wow, you got lots of books read. I was in a reading slump so I didn’t read very many. Thankfully I’ve got my groove back.
Nothing like a cozy, private spot to read…
Lovely pics! Have a great week!
Natalie is getting so big. And is beautiful. Keep the pictures coming. Hmmmm…maybe it’s time she starts her own book blog :).
LOL….And you know me…I would NEVER say “I told you so” lol
