This great meme is hosted by Sheila at
“Book Journey”.
It’s a great way to start the week and
find out what other bloggers are reading.
My To-Be-Read pile has grown to an
unbelievable number thanks to this meme.
As I look ahead to the new year I am happy that I reached my goal to read 200 books but will be lowering my goal to just 150 in 2014. Great Escapes Book Tours has been very successful but makes a big cut in my reading time. Offering free short tours for Cozy Authors has introduced me to many authors I may have otherwise missed but there just isn’t enough time in the day to read all their wonderful books. I also host Mystery/Suspense/Thriller tours for a small fee and love doing those as well. There are days I feel completely overwhelmed and ready to throw in the towel and then there are other days the I feel such joy sharing their wonderful books with all of you. In 2014 I am going to try to find a balance between the two even if it means saying “no” to some tours. I am always looking for new tour hosts.
I am also going to cut back a little bit on my challenges too to remove a little bit of stress. Sheila’s Where Are You Reading? continues to be one of my favorites. I host two challenges myself JUST FOR FUN and Alphabet Soup. I would love to have you join the fun!!
Now here’s my recap of last week’s reading and what I am planning this week.

Another great reading week for you!
I’ll take care of You looks good, will look out for the tour reviews.
Another great year. I do not blame you for cutting back. I read about 225/year but I am retired – and read more slowly than I did when I was younger.
Wishing you a fab new Year Lori!
Balance in life is always good. I upped my GoodReads goal a few times this year. I am at about 275 books and expect to read at least a couple more before the year is over. Come see my Monday Report here. Happy reading and happy new year!
I also met my 200 books read challenge, but don’t want to set a goal like that in the New Year. And I’ve only signed up for one challenge (so far!): Mt. TBR Challenge. You can guess what that’s about…lol.
Enjoy! And have a great New Year. Here’s MY WEEKLY SUNDAY/MONDAY UPDATES
I still ended up signing up for my reading challenges than I intended, but I am cutting back on other things. I want to do more reading for myself, which is why I hope I do better on your Just for Fun Challenge. I was a total failure at it last year 🙂
Hope you have a very Happy New Year!
I finished all but one challenge. I have started one book for next year’s challenges and have not gotten too far,, so most will be read in 2014. I have two others lined up to start reading. I will be looking forward to doing your challenges.
