The Sunday Salon used to be a meme but was getting so huge it became unmanageable, so it is now a Facebook group that has become an informal week in review
gathering place for bloggers.
It is also a place to share our thoughts about things of a bookish nature.

~ It’s a chance to share news~
A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
Patting myself on the back this week. My Outlook email had been acting wonky again and on Friday it crashed again. No panic from me this time. I learned my lesson last time. This time all emails had been backed up on my blog server and I knew how to open Outlook in “safe mode” to downloaded my calendar and contacts to a gmail account. Then I started trying to diagnose the problem. Hubby was at work and there were no frantic phone calls. I knew my data was safe. With a little online research I found out that “add-ins” are usually the problem so I eliminated them one at a time and found 2 that were causing the program to shutdown. One was my security protection which needed a bit of tweaking and the other was a linking add-in that was part of a recent Microsoft upgrade which I disabled and viola! the program is working again. There is always something to learn about this computerized world. The most important one is backup your work so when the things go wrong there is no need to panic and you can take your time trying to fix the problem.
