The Fan of the Month contest is ending and I have been trying to come up with a new contest. I wanted to do something for readers and authors too so this is what I am come up with 🙂
So many new books are released each month and authors and publishers appreciate all those first week sales and pre-orders. It helps the book’s rank on the Bestseller Lists. To keep those sales going Authors love reviews posted on Amazon, GoodReads and Barnes & Noble.
So this contest is about posting those reviews. It is easy to do and everyone can do it. Amazon requires 20 words or more but the others are happy with even “I Liked It”. You do not have to give a recap of the book. Just a couple of lines about what you liked or disliked and why. You can keep it short and simple or be as in depth as you would like. Once you write it in one place, you can copy and paste it to the others. Share your opinions and help the authors you love promote their books.
Here is how the contest is going to work. Each month I will post a Punch Card with a sample of books coming out the next month. You can buy the book anywhere*. When you have read the book, post your review and then come back here and fill out the form to enter the contest. There will be Bonus Points for each place you post your review. If you read more than one book just fill out another form. There is no limit. I just ask that you review current books for this contest. For this month ones that have been released in December 2015 or January 2016. You will have until the 15th of February to post your reviews and fill out the form. A winner will be chosen on the 16th.
1 winner will be chosen each month and they will receive
an Amazon Gift Card for $7.99 to buy a new book!
This is just a small sample. You can read and review any book in any genre to enter.

I love this idea but if we are lucky enough to be gifted with an ARC does that count or do we have to purchase the book?
Fun idea, I will be trying to keep up with my ‘punches’! If I am understanding correctly, the book covers are samples, and if we read and buy a different Dec/Jan release, we can use that too?

Find the book on Amazon, GoodReads or B&N, scroll down until you see “Write a review” and type your review. Amazon requires 20 words. When you are done, click post. It will take a few moments before your post goes live. When it does click on your review and then copy the link at the top of the page and paste it on the entry form. 🙂
