Today is a double “we remember” day for me. It is the anniversary of the that terrible day in 2001 that took so many lives and changed so much about our nation. It is also the last day of Suicide Prevention Week where people who have loss someone to suicide remember and try to raise awareness about suicide in an effort to #StopSuicide – Suicide takes over 42,000 lives each year. It has been a rough week for me and so many others impacted by both of these things.

It’s good to see another person who’s paying attention to Suicide Prevention Month! Sorry it’s been a hard week.
I volunteered for many years at a Crisis Hotline and had opportunities, I think, to impact those who were considering suicide. I’m sorry it has been a difficult week for you.
