The Sunday Salon used to be a meme but was getting so huge it became unmanageable, so it is now a Facebook group that has become an informal week in review
gathering place for bloggers.

It is also a place to share our thoughts about things of a bookish nature.

SUNDAY POSTThe Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by
Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer
~ It’s a chance to share news~
A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Happy SUNDAY Everyone!

Remembering Daddy

Remembering Daddy

A busy week ended in one of hope. Our family took part in the Prevent Suicide Walk for Hope on Saturday. The Walk ended early due to rain which was taken a couple of ways by different walkers. “Tears from heaven” Tears for renewed hope” plus the “It’s just rain” 🙂 A year ago we walked in a larger Out of Darkness walk and most of us were still numb. This walk was smaller and more personal and I enjoyed the featured speaker, Deeatra Kajfosz, Founder of LiFE OF HOPE and Suicide Attempt Survivor. She talked about Life beyond Suicidal Thought, Behavior, and Action. It gave me a little insight and food for thought.

After the walk Kris’ daughter and her cousin came to spend the rest of the day with Nana and Papa. Movies, video games, baking, taking silly pictures. A perfect way to end the day!

  1. I’m glad this year’s event was helpful. Suicide is such a horribly painful act.

  2. Such a dreadfully sad thing to happen in any family, awareness is all the more important now with so many military people walking that path.
Thanks for your thoughts and actions.

  3. I’ve been in Out of the Darkness walks before. It’s nice to have a sense of a mission with the other walkers, isn’t it? Glad you enjoyed yourself.
