The Sunday Salon used to be a meme but was getting so huge it became unmanageable, so it is now a Facebook group that has become an informal week in review
gathering place for bloggers.
It is also a place to share our thoughts about things of a bookish nature.

Last Sunday was not only Mother’s Day but our 34th Wedding Anniversary. My sister and I are big fans of NASCAR driver Matt Kenseth. There has been a museum/store in his hometown of Cambridge, Wisconsin for years that his sister Kelly manages. Fans recently received notice that the place would be closing June 11 and that all the trophies, cars,, helmets, etc. would be moved to North Carolina where Matt now lives. We had never been there even though it is not that far away. We decided to visit there last Sunday and took my sister along. We had such fun. The place is jam packed with everything from his career thus far in racing. Both Matt and Kelly have said he is not retiring but rumors are always running rampant. My biggest hope is to meet him in person someday.
