The Sunday Salon used to be a meme but was getting so huge it became unmanageable, so it is now a Facebook group that has become an informal week in review
gathering place for bloggers.
It is also a place to share our thoughts about things of a bookish nature.

BRAT FEST
I had a fabulous day yesterday. A whole day away from my computer. We headed to Madison for the World’s Largest Brat Fest. As of last night 100,000 brats had been sold. Mr. Dollycas, daughter #2 and I were soon joined by daughter #1 and her family. Son #2 arrived with his friends a little while later. Besides the brats the highlights of the day including getting up close and personal with some Clydesdales and meeting Bucky Badger. The kids enjoyed Laser Tag and the carnival. Plenty of yummy food and drink was everywhere, funnel cakes, roasted corn on the cob, lemonade, ice cream and so much more. Music was also a huge highlight but the kids and us old people were ready to head home before the main acts played. Fun was had by all and we hope to return next year. The event is for a good cause, proceeds are shared by several local charities. My only complaint was that the park needs to be much more handicap accessible and needs to add more benches for resting. 🙂
