The Sunday Salon used to be a meme but was getting so huge it became unmanageable, so it is now a Facebook group that has become an informal week in review
gathering place for bloggers.
It is also a place to share our thoughts about things of a bookish nature.
Happy Sunday Everyone!
This week was a bit better. After talking to my husband’s doctor last Saturday I was scared to death. This week we have seen small steps of improvement. Pain is being managed now at a 5-6 level instead of off the charts, even allowing him to sleep for more than a few minutes at a time. His doctors have come up with a “cocktail” that is fighting whatever caused this and is providing nourishment and vitamins. The last CT scan and other tests have shown that the “cocktail” is working. On Friday, he was moved to a diet of Jell-O, broth, and juices. Yesterday he was served Cream of Wheat for breakfast. These are baby steps but they are all going in the right direction.
As for me, I am staying busy. Not happy that I can’t go to the hospital every day but we do talk on the telephone several times a day. The kids are making sure I have food to eat 🙂 It does get lonely without him to talk to every evening, discussing our days, politics and just the general stuff. The dogs are very confused and still wait for him to come in the door each evening. Hopefully he will soon. Thank you for the continued prayers.

So sorry about the troubles you’ve been having but it sounds as if things are on the upswing….very pleased to hear that. Prayers continuing….
I’m so glad to hear your husband is doing better. Baby steps are so frustrating but such a good sign. It’s nice that you can talk a few days and it sounds like he’s on the road to coming home. Don’t forget to take care of yourself!
