The Sunday Salon used to be a meme but was getting so huge it became unmanageable, so it is now a Facebook group that has become an
informal week in review gathering place for bloggers.
It is also a place to share our thoughts about things of a bookish nature.
This was a difficult week for me, hard to stay on task and made some really stupid mistakes. Thankfully nothing that couldn’t be fixed. At least I know why. Last week was Suicide Prevention Week and Friday was the 30 month anniversary of my son’s death. I struggled all week because I wanted to put posts on social media for suicide awareness and I did, but I still just can’t wrap my head around the fact that it has been 30 months that he has been gone. So the week was rough but to I have so share another thing I am trying to wrap my head around. A Happy Thing! Last Saturday went spent part of the day at a football game. Kaden’s 1st game of the season and when we arrived, this is who greeted us.
Kaden in a uniform complete with a helmet and pads. Still touch, no tackling but WOW what a step up from last Spring.
He played his first away game yesterday and his team won by 3 touchdowns. We will have a busy Saturday next week with a Suicide Prevention Walk For Hope in the morning and then going to another away game for Kaden in the afternoon. I have a feeling as the grandkids continue to grow our traveling around the state is going to increase and I am thrilled about that.

My heart feels for your loss. You are doing such brave and wonderful things to help others, and that makes shows me your strength and your kindness.
I’m so sorry for your loss. Time is double edged when it comes to loss. I do love your positive though. Kaden looks ready to go! I hope this week is a little easier and you take time some self care time.
