The Sunday Salon used to be a meme but was getting so huge it became unmanageable, so it is now a Facebook group that has become an
informal week in review gathering place for bloggers.
It is also a place to share our thoughts about things of a bookish nature.
HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!
Pumpkins & Apples
Last Sunday we braved the wind and chilly temps to enjoy the day at Waldvogel’s Farm. Mr. Dollycas and I haven’t been there for about 17 years, when we took our kids to the pumpkin patch to get their pumpkins. The place has really changed. They now charge admission with over 40 things to do and plenty of neat places for pictures like this huge swing. I love family days like this.
The grands also had their picture taken with some animals. Look closely, that is a piglet behind Natalie 🙂

Then yesterday was a Natalie day which meant a visit to the Tom Dooley Orchard. We came home with cookies, pies, apple butter, honey, and apples to make kuchen and crisps. They also had pumpkins, like this one.
I love these weekends, we have to squeeze in as many outdoor things before the snow flies. I always have a huge smile after days like these.

Looks like a fun family day! =)
It looks like such fun, Lori and a wonderful family picture. Egads, look at that giant pumpkin! LOL
The pumpkin is crazy huge! Looks like both days were so much fun though you have my mouth watering at the apple orchard treats. You’ve reminded me I haven’t made a visit to the local apple orchard yet! Have a great week!
