The Sunday Salon used to be a meme but was getting so huge it became unmanageable, so it is now a Facebook group that has become an
informal week in review gathering place for bloggers.
It is also a place to share our thoughts about things of a bookish nature.
HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!
Last Sunday we celebrated Kaden’s 10th birthday at Culvers. Double digits! I can’t believe how fast the time has gone and what an incredible young man he is growing up to be.
Both boys are here this weekend. Kaden is feeling a bit under the weather and Remi is a whirling dervish of energy. Their parents are both out trying to slay a deer this weekend. 🙂 I love having the kids visit and I hate when they leave, which will be soon. Then I intend to curl up with a book and watch what may be my last NASCAR race. My driver, Matt Kenseth, doesn’t have a ride for next year and he has not used the dreaded “R” word yet, but I watch because of him and really don’t have another driver I want to follow. It will be interesting to fill my summer and fall Sundays with something new.

Have you signed up for Ebates? 🙂

I have never watched a NASCAR race. I suppose I am quite odd. I love it that you enjoy it so much.

I never watched until Matt, he was related by marriage to my sister and he feels like family even though we have never met in person.
I’ve never followed NASCAR but I know how it feels when a celebrity leaves a show (like Chip Joanna Gains) and I feel bereft.
Double digits! That’s a biggie. We’re getting ready for my son to hit a biggie soon too (21). I feel like you blink and those sweet chubby babies are actual people in the world!
NASCAR isn’t really my thing but that’s sort of heresy to say where I am (my husband actually got a NASCAR for Dummies book before we moved here so he could understand some of the small talk in work meetings!).
NASCAR isn’t my sport but I can see where once your driver retires it doesn’t have quite the same appeal. How nice to have your grandsons for the weekend! I know their parents enjoyed the break. Hopefully they had good luck with the deer slaying! Have a great week!
