This is a step up from a cozy but not as dark and most police type procedural novel . . .I liked getting to know Katie as the story progressed. I definitely want to get to know her better in upcoming books.

I love medical mysteries. This looks so good!
This sounds like a good alternative to dark procedurals—but not too cozy.
