The Sunday Salon used to be a meme but was getting so huge it became unmanageable, so it is now a Facebook group that has become an
informal week in review gathering place for bloggers.
It is also a place to share our thoughts about things of a bookish nature.
The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by

~ It’s a chance to share news~
A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!
I hope you are having a wonderful weekend!
GDPR – General Data Protection Regulations
General Data Protection Regulations went into effect May 25. I spent part of last Sunday afternoon making sure I had everything covered and creating a new Legal Disclosure Page. I want to thank Suzanne at Under the Covers for giving a clear and concise blog post helping all of us bloggers know the facts and how to handle this new regulation. If you are having trouble setting things up on your blog, be sure to check out her post. It sure helped me.
NetworkedBlogs Calls It Quits
After many years NetworkedBlogs is saying farewell. They were not able to make the very popular project profitable even with “millions of people.” I did not know it but about 3 years ago they stopped accepting new user registrations. I did notice that the widget on my blog was no longer showing followers quite a while ago.
I loved receiving the daily email with the new blog posts that I was following. I also used their service to have my blog posts automatically shared on Facebook. WordPress Jetpack does have a feature for this but it only allows the post to be shared on 1 page. I like my posts to show up both on my personal page and my blog fan page, so I will be manually posting to one of those unless I find another way. If you have any ideas, please let me know.
NetworkedBlogs in still posting today, their announcement doesn’t give a firm date as to when they will pull the plug. They appear to be keeping the Symphony Tools product up and running but the free plan does not include cross-posting and the smallest paid plan is $14 per month. I have found their “Free Goodies” like “Sharing Buttons” to be very unreliable, one day they work on my blog and the next day they are gone, so I will not be signing up for their plan.
OUCH!
So Thursday evening daughter #1 called saying “Have you seen my Facebook post?”
I replied, “Nope, reading and watching television.”
Her “Are you sitting down?”
Me: “I am now.”
Her “We are at the ER with Kaden, he took a little tumble off his bike.”
Me “Is he all right?”
Her “Some nice road rash.”
Me “And??”
Her “Broken arm, he will need surgery tomorrow to set it, put a pin in.”
Me “Can I talk to him?”
Her “Yeah, he is a little scared and wants to talk to you. He has been given pain meds so he’s a little loopy.”
Hearing his voice settled me right down and then I told him that both his mom and Uncle Kris had broken arms and his Aunt Z.Z. and Uncle Jayme had their share of injuries too. His mom and I also assured him he was not going to miss too much school and that we would still be able to do all the things we have planned for the summer.
Well, the surgery was pushed to Saturday to allow the swelling to go down a bit. He came through it with flying colors. A small incision to insert the pin. It will be removed when he is totally healed. Also, no cast, just a splint and ace bandage. He went home shortly after. I will be going to see him in person tomorrow because I have to 🙂 I will probably take him out for ice cream depending on how he feels. According to his mom and dad, the bike survived too and will be ready for him when he is ready.
Here is a collage to document the memorable event 🙂

Remember those that have given their lives for the freedoms we all enjoy!

So sorry to hear about your grandson’s injury. It’s extremely tough when our loved ones hurt. Glad it all went well and he’s on the mend.
Sure made me flash back to my childhood. I broke my hand on my 13th birthday and then two weeks later on bike accident rebroke the hand, cracked a knee and enjoyed the other leg. Ended up with another cast, bandage on one leg, crutches and another case on my hand. It’s it amazing how youth can bounce back. 🙂
Have a great Sunday!

It’s always scary when children get hurt! I’m glad he’s doing better!
I’m glad Kaden is okay. I still have scars on my arm from when I crashed my bike and got road rash as a kid.
Glad Kaden is okay! They bounce back so quickly at that age. I have a feeling your daughter will have your hands full getting him to rest while he’s recovering! Have a great week!
I’m glad he’s ok and will have his summer activities to enjoy. I use Jetpack but I onlypost to the blog facebook, not to my personal. When I do want to go to other groups or possibly my personal I just share them manually. But I post pretty much daily so if I wanted to do it every day, I’d be looking for another option too. Good luck. Anne – Books of My Heart
Just catching up on emails and saw that Kaden and his bike had a disagreement! Sure hope he’s feeling much better today, and with some grandma love I’m sure he’s well on the way to a complete recovery. Ice cream will help too I’m sure. Now you just have to settle your heart down. Hate to hear that anyone is injured, and with summer coming it might mean you will have more Kaden time!
