The Sunday Salon used to be a meme but was getting so huge it became unmanageable, so it is now a Facebook group that has become an
informal week in review gathering place for bloggers.
It is also a place to share our thoughts about things of a bookish nature.
The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by

~ It’s a chance to share news~
A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!
Oh Well . . . A week ago last Friday, I quit working a little early because I thought I had caught Mr. Dollycas’ summer cold. Little did I know just a couple of hours later it would evolve into a full-blown case of stomach flu. The next few days are quite a blur. I slept a lot and ran to the bathroom a lot. By Monday evening I was able to eat a banana and some toast with no ill effects so I considered myself cured and ready to get back to work. That is until Tuesday morning when I stood up only to have the floor quickly come up and greet me. I passed out for just a few seconds and thankfully Son #2 was still home to get me back up and send me back to bed. Time to really push the fluids instead of my body. Wednesday I was so proud of myself. I wrote a post for this blog, no review because I couldn’t string sentences together 🙂 but it was a huge accomplishment. Then I discovered that I had done a post the day before but have no memory of doing that whatsoever. I added a little bit of time each day trying to catch up on book tour promotions and making sure there was a blog post each day. It is now Saturday and I have been busy getting this post done and other catch up work. I still have to take breaks because I am totally exhausted most of the time. I just want things to get back to normal. Also, my husband can start to keep these wonderful gifts to himself because he not only shared it with me but his mother too. He took her to a Milwaukee Brewers game the Wednesday before I got sick and she started feeling sick the same time I did. I guess we have someone at his office to blame for giving it to him in the first place.
I do have to give a big THANK YOU to my daughter Elizabeth. She was communication central to the Great Escapes bloggers and informed people what was going on with me on my blog, Facebook, and Twitter, all while taking excellent care of me and her dad and still working her own job. She went above and beyond! Thank you, Betsy!

No new books this week 🙁
I hope you all are blessed with both!

Baby steps – don’t over do. Any form of relapse is a lot worse than the first go round. Hopefully you are on the mend as is everyone else. Thankfully it sounds like you have an amazing and loving support system so let them help until you are stronger. Will continue to say a pray for you and yours for good health and strength. <3
