informal week in review gathering place for bloggers.
It is also a place to share our thoughts about things of a bookish nature.

Last weekend was full. Sunday I attended a baby shower for my niece. After 5 years her son will be getting a new baby brother and we are all excited about that.
What made the weekend extra special is that I was able to spend some time with a friend that means the world to me. We used to see each other daily. We had worked together, played together, and raised our families together. Circumstances changed a few years ago that took her and her husband to Kentucky. Thankfully her son, the one whose birthday I told you about last week, still lives here close by in Wisconsin so they do come to visit often. Any time I get to spend with her is priceless and I am still hoping someday to travel to Kentucky and see her life there. My disability and travel do not always blend well together but there may come a day when we just hop in the car and head their direction. I am sure they will be here again before then and Facebook and phone calls help the miles not seem so far. Love you, Netter!!
