The Sunday Salon used to be a meme but was getting so huge it became unmanageable, so it is now a Facebook group that has become an
informal week in review gathering place for bloggers.
It is also a place to share our thoughts about things of a bookish nature.
The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by

~ It’s a chance to share news~
A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!
Yesterday was a very busy day. We had the Walk for Hope in the morning. Kaden had football in the afternoon. After a quick stop at the outlet mall, Mr. Dollycas, Daughter #2, Kaden and I took Daughter #1 for a birthday dinner a few days early.
Natalie made a special poster for her daddy.
The posters lined the track as we walked.
As the names of the people lost to suicide that were represented by family and friends at this small county walk were read aloud I was just struck that there were just too many names. Too many lives lost. The purpose of the walk was clear. We cannot bring our loved ones back but we can do our damnest to raise awareness so the lists in the future get shorter.
Thank you to everyone that has walked, donated money, and have spoken out to help the quest to #StopSuicide. September is National Suicide Awareness Month but suicide happens too many times each day the whole year round. Be open, listen carefully, and give support. Suicide prevention starts with everyday heroes like you.
Oh, and Kaden’s team won 18 -6. 🙂 His mom celebrated her 29th birthday again. 🙂

I was also going to participate in a suicide awareness walk last weekend, but I ended up not having the energy due to my pregnancy (and too much time spent at Ren Fest). But it’s a great cause. Right now, I’m actually training to be a crisis counselor for a national texting line. I have been a crisis counselor at a texting line in the past, but that textline was gobbled up by the one I’m currently training at, so I decided to move on an volunteer at this one. 38 hours of training! Phew! I’m only done with week one so far.
