Computer Blahs
It was a week of long days, starting earlier and ending later. I am losing about 2 hours a day due to my temporary replacement computer. The online pages and Microsoft Office products load so slowly. A simple task of posting a review and links on NetGalley takes over an hour. Promoting book tour stops now takes an entire morning. I find I am completing my blog posts at 7 p.m. instead of closer to 5 and booking out 1 tour and setting up a new tour can rarely happen on the same day. I was so spoiled by my son’s computer. I am sure it was set up to play games on originally and had all the bells and whistles. It has been sent out to try and rescue any files and the same young man is working on a new computer for me. It should be ready soon and I can’t wait. Patience has never been my strong suit.
Mr. Dollycas is making good progress on his recovery with a few little bumps along the way. Helping with his care breaks up my day and gets me away from the computer frustration 🙂 I just wish the weather was nicer so he could get outside to walk and get some fresh air. This little house does not have a lot of walking areas. A visiting nurse has come to the house a couple of times but she shouldn’t be needed much longer if he continues to do his exercises without being reminded and continues walking. He plans to start working from home this week. I just hope his laptop doesn’t slow my computer down further. 🙂
Other than that, I read some good books and watched a little television. Did you do anything fun or exciting last week?
