The Sunday Salon used to be a meme but was getting so huge it became unmanageable, so it is now a Facebook group that has become an
informal week in review gathering place for bloggers.
It is also a place to share our thoughts about things of a bookish nature.
The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by

~ It’s a chance to share news~
A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!
Arctic Blast
I haven’t always despised winter. I used to ski and skate all winter long. When our kids came along we did all kinds of snowy activities. After my accident in 2001 winter took a huge downturn for me as I couldn’t do all the things I used to enjoy. As I continued getting older the cold took its toll, getting into my bones and the usual aches and pains multiplied. When I see forecasts like this one
and the snowfall predictions of up to 12 inches overnight tonight I am so thankful I can work from home. My closest endeavor out in the snow will be to the back door to let the dogs out to do their business. Even they don’t want to go out. This past week with the chilly temps they barely make it to the backyard, took care of their needs and circled right back into the house. There is no looking down the driveway to see if their friends across the street were out, no sniffing around to see if anyone else has been in their territory, just in and out as fast as they can. Mr. Dollycas has been making good progress so we are back to taking turns with the doggy chores, which means we are splitting the time facing the cold. I just hope that darn groundhog sees his shadow next week and spring will be just around the corner. Until then Mother Nature you can thaw us out anytime.
How are you handling the cold? Or are you in a warm place, unaffected by the Arctic Blast?

Please stay safe and warm this week!

Can so relate to what the cold weather does to the aging body. Add a few diseases in that that make the muscles hurt anyway and you are in a pickle. I can’t imagine it being that cold. We are to be in 20’s for a high all this coming week and that is bad enough.
Our little chihuahua furbaby is more than happy to use his indoor potty when weather is cold. He also loves to hug the fireplaces. 🙂
Have a great week and try to stay warm!

That’s far too cold! I’m in a warmer location but the way I groan and moan when the temps get in the 30s I think that’s probably for the best! I have some old injuries and the cold seems to make them flare up so much. My ankle especially feels like it’s completely locked up. I know that’s pretty minor but I’m not a fan. I hope you have a lovely week and stay warm!
I never thought about doggos and how they get outside to do their business when there’s 500 feet of snow outside! Poor guys. As for us, I don’t think we’re supposed to get all that cold here in Arkansas, but I bought a ton of bottled water and snicks and snacks just in case. Hang in there!!
I work outside and having been dreading this winter. The Farmer’s Almanac predicted a brutla winter, even for here in the south, and so far it’s been right and we still have a couple of months to go. I yearn for spring!Stay safe and warm:)
