The Sunday Salon used to be a meme but was getting so huge it became unmanageable, so it is now a Facebook group that has become an
informal week in review gathering place for bloggers.
It is also a place to share our thoughts about things of a bookish nature.
I want to take a moment to say thank you to Debra Hamel for creating and administering The Sunday Salon group on Facebook for all these years.
And congratulations to Deb Nance for taking over the job!
The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by

~ It’s a chance to share news~
A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!
Fort – Nite
Mr. Dollycas went back to work on Monday. It took a team effort to get him ready and into the van and off to the office. Namely jump-starting the van on Sunday night by Son #2. It hadn’t moved in about 7 weeks and thru all those dreadfully cold temperatures. Me, helping with his socks and shoes as bending was still a little tough but got better as the week went on. Daughter #2, making his lunch, packing his work bag and getting him around the snow banks and into the van. Then on Tuesday, he was working from home because of the 12″ of snow that dropped overnight and throughout the day. He was back to the office the rest of the week and each day the morning process got easier so that by Friday, he needed no assistance at all, but he forgot his lunch 🙂 The dogs and I were back into a routine with an extra trip outside each morning to verify “daddy” was hiding somewhere out there.
Friday brought a little girl for the weekend. Saturday she was busy building a “fort”. Something she used to do often with her daddy. Time always flies when she is here. She and Aunt ZZ baked a cake, we watched some movies, and had so much fun. Every time she is here I realize how fast she is growing. In fact, Friday night she was texting with Aunt ZZ before she got home from work. 6 years old and she texts better than I do.
How was your week?
Weekly Rewind – February 11 – 16, 2019
Monday – My Reading Itinerary Monday! – Week #7 2019

I hope you a fantastic week!

Thank you very much! I welcome your thoughts about how to proceed with Sunday Salon (or whether just to leave well enough alone.)
Hi Deb, I filled out the form. I like it as a Facebook group but think it needs a reboot of sorts to draw new bloggers and remind people about the group. Will continue to think on this 🙂
Love the forts. My daughter’s used to build forts with blankets and toys when they were young. I am hoping to generate a discussion about award books, movies, and music Awards books. Join me in on the conversation
I remember when my daughter used to build forts. So cute. And such a nice visit for you.
