The Sunday Salon used to be a meme but was getting so huge it became unmanageable, so it is now a Facebook group that has become an
informal week in review gathering place for bloggers.
It is also a place to share our thoughts about things of a bookish nature.
You can also link up weekly on Readerbuzz.
The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by

~ It’s a chance to share news~
A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!
A New Normal
Friday would have been my son Kris’ 34th birthday. We had no big plans but Daughter #2 had the day off and took me for a much-needed haircut. Everyone else had to work. Daughter #1 was even forced to work overtime. We did connect via telephone and had a nice chat.
For some reason, it has gotten just a little easier for us to get through this day. I get sad but his birth brings such wonderful memories. Unlike the day of his death when I seem to fall apart and want/need all my family around me.
I decided earlier in the week that to honor his birthday I would highlight Suicide Prevention Awareness on my social media accounts and that is what I did. On average, there are 129 suicides per day. Sharing the hotline information may save someone’s life, so I do it often. Everyone grieves differently and I think I am finding my new normal for his birthday, celebrate his life while trying to help others.
If you are in crisis, please call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255)
or contact the Crisis Text Line by texting TALK to 741-741.
Please Share.

Thank you for using the sadness and pain you experience on this anniversary to help others. Suicide is devastating for the family and friends left behind.
I’ve had a good week as I’ve been on spring break. Back to work tomorrow, but I feel refreshed even though I’ve done a bunch of work this week.
