The Sunday Salon used to be a meme but was getting so huge it became unmanageable, so it is now a Facebook group that has become an
informal week in review gathering place for bloggers.
It is also a place to share our thoughts about things of a bookish nature.
You can also link up weekly on Readerbuzz.

A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!
Yesterday we joined the people from Mr. Dollycas’s office for YOOPER DAY at the ballpark. His boss is from the U.P. 🙂 We scored cool hats and T-shirts as we entered. The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers were playing the Burlington Bees. The Rattlers were behind 5 runs at the end of the first inning. A rally in the 8th brought them close, but they ended up losing 8 – 6. 🙁
It was definitely not a nice Spring day. The temperature stayed right at 39 degrees and the wind added to the chill. But it didn’t rain or snow!
Mr. Dollycas and I lasted less than one inning before we made the trip upstairs to the indoor club room where we could watch the game through the windows or on the television. We were also able to watch the NFL draft.
By about the third inning Daughter #2 and Daughter #1 and her family joined us in the warm indoors. Grandson Kaden ventured out on the balcony and stayed there for most of the game. His brother Remi joined him for part of the time. The kids went back to their seats for the last couple of innings, but us grandparents stayed where it was warm. The boys really enjoyed the game. Son #2 sadly had to work.
We enjoyed a fun tailgate before the game and we had a great time all day despite the cold. We were already talking about going to another game this summer before we left the park, either the Timber Rattlers again or maybe the Milwaukee Brewers. Papa was just thrilled that we all enjoyed the game so much!
Natalie and her mom were on an adventure of their own. They took the train to Chicago and to the American Girl store to celebrate birthdays with her girl cousins and their moms.

Yay for no rain or snow and family time with those able to be there. We have rain today, but thankfully no snow.
Yay for no rain and snow. We did get some storms on Monday and Tuesday but it is back to 90 degrees. I hope you have a wonderful week.

A chilly day for baseball, but it looks like you still had a great time. I’m still in Florida… it’s snowing today in Upstate NY. Guess we’ll hang out here a little longer!
I’m glad you didn’t have rain or snow. It’s still chilly here too but we are getting alot of rain. Not that much today, but it’s still dreary out there. Have a great week!
What a fun outing despite the cold! We’ve felt very spring-like until the past couple of days when the fog has started to roll in and we’re back down to the low 60s.
Glad you had a great time despite the chilly weather. I’ve enjoyed Higgins novels previously I hope her new one is as good.
Have a great reading week.
It was a fabulous weekend, weather-wise, here in south Texas, and we spent the whole weekend outdoor for our Master Naturalist group. I’m glad you had such a great time with your family at the game. It sounds like so much fun!
Sounds like you all had a fabulous day! Great company keeps us warm, right? We’re starting to hit the 80’s here in TN, but lived in IL until 2012, so I can totally relate to the cold, but sure glad we left it behind!
