The Sunday Salon used to be a meme but was getting so huge it became unmanageable, so it is now a Facebook group that has become an
informal week in review gathering place for bloggers.
It is also a place to share our thoughts about things of a bookish nature.
You can also link up weekly on Readerbuzz.
The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by

A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!
Television Finales
This week I enjoyed the season finales of Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, and Chicago PD. Incredible Cliffhangers! I am going to have a hard time waiting for the fall premiers.
I also liked the new NBC shows The Village and New Amsterdam. New Amsterdam has been renewed for another season, sadly we are still waiting to learn the fate of The Village.
Another show I liked has been canceled, For The People, I liked the show because it took on some current hot topics and was very impressed with the cast.
I was happy with the winner, The Voice but Dexter was the final member of my personal team. She sure does have a voice and knowing that she has lost hearing in one ear makes her win amazing. Learning Friday that Adam Levine would not be returning next season made me sad but I completely understand. His teams have seemed to been hurt the most with all the crazy changes.
onOn the homefront – Daughter #1 picked up her car Thursday afternoon totally fixed and then Friday afternoon she walked out to the parking lot at work to find one of the new tires flat. We were hoping it was the fault of the repair garage but no, there was a big screw in the tire. The tire couldn’t be patched so she had to replace it and then decided to replace the 2 tires that were not blown in the accident too. Needless to say with the deductible paid and now the new tires her piggy bank is pretty empty so I truly hope she has some stress free days ahead that don’t entail any cash outlay 🙂
The boys are here for the weekend helping Papa mow the lawn and other outside stuff. I am hoping he breaks out the grill before the weekend ends. The parade that usually happens near our house has been relocated due to road construction so our plans to attend are still up in the air, especially with rain in the forecast.
How are you spending Memorial Day Weekend?

WE were watching Village but they moved it to 7pm and i work til 7:30 so will have to binge,
Nothing empties our bank accounts faster than our cars. Sigh.
I hope you have a lovely weekend!
I was sad to learn For the People was cancelled too, I enjoyed it. I haven’t tried The Village yet.
Have a great reading week
I feel like my TV shows are ending as well. Good thing we like to read! 🙂
I enjoyed watching For the People. Great cast and timely topics. I do not understand why they canceled it. I also watch New Amsterdam. I am happy it was renewed. Have a great holiday!
I hope you get to see the parade. There’s nothing like a parade!
Your poor daughter has been through it. Let’s hope her car is now finally on the mend.
There certainly are a lot of Chicago shows. Wow.
Have a great week!
I need to watch the Chicago series! I had started with Fire but never continued. Looks like a nice haul there! I hope you enjoy them!
