The Sunday Salon used to be a meme but was getting so huge it became unmanageable, so it is now a Facebook group that has become an
informal week in review gathering place for bloggers.
It is also a place to share our thoughts about things of a bookish nature.
You can also link up weekly on Readerbuzz.

~ It’s a chance to share news~
A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!
We had a big day yesterday.
The day started out with Mr. Dollycas and Daughter #2 taking the dogs to the yearly vet appointment. We still go to the same vet that we had before our move so it is about an hour away. For dogs 16 years old they are in pretty good health. Their hearing is mostly gone, their vision is declining, they have some fatty tumors and some arthritis is setting in but they are still pretty frisky and keep us on our toes. You have to look closely but Oreo, our black and white dog is in the driver’s seat and Nera is ready to ride shotgun. 🙂 They were definitely ready to leave the vet and come home.
Our day continued to our honorary son’s house to celebrate 2 birthdays and celebrate new life after heart surgery. Our friend, John had open heart surgery to repair a bad valve almost 3 weeks ago at the Cleveland Clinic. At his followup appointment, he ended up being readmitted for another overnight visit to regulate his heartbeat, scaring the daylights out of everyone, before returning home to Kentucky. Then a couple of days later he ended up overnight there in the hospital to get the rhythm regulated again, another big scare.
The plan was to come to Wisconsin this weekend for his grandson’s birthday party but I thought after the extra 2 trips to the hospital his visit would be postponed. But, nope, I was stunned to learn on he was on his way and after just 1 overnight stop he was pulling in to his son’s home. I have known John almost my entire life and knew he was stubborn. This time it is paying off. He is making a great recovery. We hope to see him and his awesome wife Annette when they come to Wisconsin again in a couple of weeks.
The birthdays we celebrated were Dakota’s 7th birthday and Daughter’s #2’s 28th birthday. Mother Nature tried to rain on our party but a little rain could never stop this group. Dakota’s party has come to be our annual first get together of the summer. We always have fun and make future summer plans.
What did you do this weekend?

Once you find a Vet that you trust you will drive any distance to take your beloved fur babies there. I remember sitting for one to two hours in L.A. traffic taking my doggo to the only Vet I trusted. Glad your cuties are still doing good. They look so cute in the car!
Long life and happy birthdays to all celebrating and IS THAT A PRINCESS CAKE?????? Are those icing princesses???? I need icing princesses.
