The Sunday Salon used to be a meme but was getting so huge it became unmanageable, so it is now a Facebook group that has become an
informal week in review gathering place for bloggers.

It is also a place to share our thoughts about things of a bookish nature.
You can also link up weekly on Readerbuzz.

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by
Kimberly @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer
~ It’s a chance to share news~
A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!

Milestone

It was a busy and blissfully quiet week around here. Just me and the dogs until dinnertime when Mr. Dollycas and Son #2 come home, then Daughter #2 a little later. So there was no other human here when I realized something big has just happened. On Thursday I was updating my Great Escapes Tour Spreadsheet when I noticed I had just sent out the invitation for my 1000th tour! Definitely a Milestone!

When I started these tours in August 2013 I was hesitant, I was starting something new. Thanks to a fantastic group of bloggers willing to take this adventure with me it has grown in ways I never imagined. I love reading, blogging and promoting good books. These tours took promotion to a whole new level.

I do owe big thank yous to Cheryl and Gina of Partners In Crime Tours for their encouragement and help. I owe a huge thanks also to the late Joyce Lavene as for giving me ideas on placing my main focus on cozy mysteries. She always gave the best advice on all topics. I am also thankful for the amazing authors and publicists that have worked with Great Escapes over the years and continue to do so. They also tell their friends which is the best advertisement there is. I couldn’t do this without the Great Escapes Bloggers so I owe them the biggest THANK YOU of all!

It is exciting every day to open my inbox and see the tour requests. New authors and ones that have become old friends. Our main focus is cozy mysteries but we love all mysteries and tour other genres too. Authors – If you haven’t checked us out, please do. Just Click Here. Bloggers – We are always looking for new members to join the fun. For more info. Just Click Here. You can be with us as we reach the next milestone.
