The Sunday Salon used to be a meme but was getting so huge it became unmanageable, so it is now a Facebook group that has become an
informal week in review gathering place for bloggers.
It is also a place to share our thoughts about things of a bookish nature.
You can also link up weekly on Readerbuzz.
The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by

~ It’s a chance to share news~
A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!

Why does Summer zip by so fast?
It is a sad time in our house when summer comes to an end. I love summer and getting out and having fun with my family. Our fun was curtailed this year as Mr. Dollycas is still recovering from back surgery but we had some fun times close to home. Hopefully, we will make up for it next year.
School doesn’t start until after Labor Day but yesterday we traveled to our first Youth Football game of the season, Football and Fall just go together. Our grandson Kaden is now in 6th grade and football now includes tackling and 4 quarters of football. Kaden played offensive tackle the whole game and did a great job. His team has a fast little running back and his team won 24 – 0. It felt great to get out of the house and the weather was perfect.
No game this week due to the holiday but the following week we will be on the road again. We may have 2 games to watch each week because Kaden’s brother Remington starts flag football soon too!
I can take the heat and hate the cold so I am praying for a long Indian Summer. 😎

Monday – My Reading Itinerary Monday! – Week #34 2019
Plus – BOOK BLAST – Two Bites Too Many (A Sarah Blair Mystery) by Debra H. Goldstein

I wish you much happiness this week!

Part of the readings today came from Hebrews: “Endure your trials as “discipline”; God treats you as sons. For what “son” is there whom his father does not discipline? At the time, all discipline seems a cause not for joy but for pain, yet later it brings the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who are trained by it.” This seems to go along well with your quote from Jung. I’m still thinking about the reading and your quote.
I bet you love watching youth football. My sons never played football, but they both loved basketball, and that was fun, too.
Your books look wonderful this week. Enjoy them all!
This summer was jam packed for me. I’m looking forward to the return to the school routine — even the earlier mornings. My weekly update.
It’s fun to see kids succeed like that in their sport, although I always feel bad for the other team if they never get on the scoreboard. Lol! I’m ready for the heat to go away, but it’s hot here and has been for a while and will be for another month or so, so I think that’s reasonable. 🙂 I hope you have a wonderful week!
