The Sunday Salon used to be a meme but was getting so huge it became unmanageable, so it is now a Facebook group that has become an
informal week in review gathering place for bloggers.
It is also a place to share our thoughts about things of a bookish nature.
You can also link up weekly on Readerbuzz.

~ It’s a chance to share news~
A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!
I am keeping the people affected by Tropical Storm Imelda in my thoughts and prayers.
Such devastation it will take be a long road to recovery.
Football Road Trip!
Yesterday we hit the road for a little football. Remi had a game at home and Kaden had a game away. We were the away bus 🙂 His warmups were at 8 and the game was at 9 so that meant up by 5:30 and out the door and on the road by 6:30. I am not a morning person so that was rough but so worth it. This is the one game a year where the kids play on a Division 3 college field. Again the Cardinals shutout their opponents 38 -0. Kaden again showed how he earned the nickname of Diesel.
What made the day extra special was catching up with an old friend. Suzy and I have been friends forever and we run into each other these games all the time and share a quick hello. Yesterday we were able to sit together and gab through the whole game while keeping close eyes to the boys on the field. We talked so much I forgot to get a picture of us together. I hope to remedy that next week. For now, I dug up this gem.
In the old days, we would play for hours, her house was my house, my house was her house. Wherever one of us was the other would soon follow. These days we can always pick up right where we left off and talk about our kids and grandkids and everything else under the sun. The game was soon over and we went our separate ways with “see you next week”. Thankfully it’s a home game so I can sleep in until at least 7.
Remi’s team won too at home. On our way home from Kaden’s game, we stopped by their house and brought Remi home with us too. So both boys are here until later today. By the time they go home I think I will take a nap like Daughter #2 and Mr. Dollycas did yesterday when we got home while I worked at the computer and kept track of the boys. Maybe I will find a nice quiet place to read instead. 🙂 A nap would just mess up my night owl sleep pattern.

Have a great reading week
You have a long history with this good friend. There is nothing like that, I think, nothing like having someone for a friend who knows everything about you.
You’ve got some good books there. I hope you get some time to enjoy them.
Thanks for your prayers for the Imelda victims. My brother and niece both got hit by that storm.
Have a good week.
