Hope Scarves
Fighting breast cancer during this darn pandemic has not been easy but this week I received a wonderful gift from a cancer survivor through the group Hope Scarves. She also shared her “story of hope” with me including “the hard part” and “words of encouragement” for me. I appreciated that she recommended a Facebook Support Group too, something I had been searching for because in-person groups are not meeting right now.
The cool thing about Hope Scarves is that when I complete my treatment I will share my story and send this scarf on to someone new battling cancer with my story and words of encouragement. The idea of hope and strength this scarf represents really has struck me. There are so many women in the world facing what I am facing and this project makes it so personal. It takes a strong community of support to keep going each day. I am so blessed by all the support I have.
