HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!
A Week in the Life of Dollycas
It was a busy week around here. In addition to book tours, blog work, and reading some good books our week started Monday with Daisy Mae’s first trip to the vet. She has doubled in size since she became part of our family a month ago. She wasn’t happy with the shot and nasal vaccinations but after a few sleepy hours, she was back to her energetic self. We just love those ears!
Then on Friday, Daughter #1 arrived with the boys so we could teach her how to do her own taxes in the future. She was a fast learner and after a couple of hours was on her way home with Kaden. Remi stayed for a sleepover with Daisy.
I stayed up late Friday night until almost 2 a.m. reading A Side of Murder by Amy Pershing
. So Saturday morning I had my first Book Hangover of 2021.
About noon Son #2 arrived with Charlotte and granddog Thunder. Time for the tax routine with him. He had a few new things to cover but soon his taxes were e-filed. They stayed for a nice visit. Daughter #1 arrived to take Remi home but stayed for a while too. A short time later we peeked into the living room and captured this shot. Papa’s lap is always the best place to nap for Charlotte and Thunder.
Everyone has now gone home. The house is quiet and we are contemplating what to make for supper. With one more day of the weekend left you never know if it will be a quiet Sunday or one filled with family. I do believe some of it will be spent on Daughter #2’s taxes and fun times with Daisy. I will also be at the computer working catching up on the things I set aside yesterday to enjoy the most important things in my life, my family.

Thank you for your kind thought for the people of Oklahoma and Texas. I hope all who have lost water are able to recover that soon.
Love Daisy Mae. You are right; those ears are adorable.
I’m glad you have had your first book hangover. This year’s reads have been very different than last year. I almost read no five-star books, and this year they are all five-stars.
Awwww is there anything better than cute babies and animals?
Ugh…thanks for reminding me about taxes. I guess we don’t get an extension until July (or whatever it was) again this year???? LOL
Hope you’re doing well and have a great week!
All these sleeping babies and animals look exquisitely comfy but I can guess how a house feels empty once they’re gone. Enjoy your week 🙂
