HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!
A Week in the Life of Dollycas
This was an extremely stressful week. On Wednesday we received notice from our landlord that the house we have been renting since May of 2013 has been sold and that we need to be out by March 30. We had no idea the place was even for sale.
The past few days we have learned there is a housing shortage in the area and rental selections are slim. There are no houses in the area for rent at all that we can afford so we are looking at apartments. That means doing a major purge of our belongings while hoping we get accepted for one of the apartments we have applied for. For those of you that have followed forever, you may remember we ended up here because we lost our home, a home that was built by us with the help of friends, family, and church members, to a predatory leader and never received any relief. We then had to move within a 3-week timeframe and were blessed to have found this house which was far from perfect for us but we have made it work over the years. It is taking everything I have to go through this again. We are leaning heavily on our kids.
I know I have asked a lot of you this past year with my cancer fight and I hate to ask you for more but if you pray please pray we find a new home and for the strength to get through this difficult time. If you are not a pray-er, good vibes are appreciated too. Right now the stress comes from the uncertainty. I hope by next week we have a new address and a plan.
Thank you.

God bless you real good, Sweetheart. The very thought of moving makes me break out in a cold sweat!
Prayers for approval of apartment rental.
I had no idea that a person could sell one’s house and force the renters inside to move. You weren’t given much notification either. That doesn’t seem right or just.
Praying for you.
(It is always a privilege to pray for you.)
Gladly sending lots of prayers and virtual hugs to you and your wonderful family. I’m so sorry to hear another thing has been laid on you to work through. Here’s hoping you find an apartment and get moved quickly.
Prayers continuing with the addendum…I’m dreadfully sorry to hear this…unbelievable they put it up for sale without notifying you…pray God you find a wheelchair accessible, pet friendly home soon…
Sending you lots of prayers. 🙏🏽 I am so sorry to hear about your house and I can”t imagine the situation that you are in. I can’t believe that they didn’t tell you the house was for sale. Sending you hugs as well! ❤️
I hope that you are able to find something. I know that our location is really hard to find housing but that’s because people keep buying the houses and turning them into Air BnB’s. I hope that something shows up that works for you guys. <3
How shocking and rude to sell your house without so much as a notice to you until the deal was done. I will pray. Everything will be okay in the end, I just know it. My Sunday Salon post this week
Having been evicted once because the apartment complex was being turned into condos, I totally feel your pain and pray that you find a great new home soon. Shame on the homeowners for not having the decency to let you know the house was for sale so you could’ve started downsizing and packing sooner. Hang in there!!!
The uncertainity would be killing me too. I hope you find something soon even if it isn’t ideal maybe it will give you a bit more time to find something better. See what I read at Girl Who Reads
On my prayer list that you can find a new home that fits you. I pray that you will be open to Gods nudging. He has the perfect home for you. I also pray that you can put your stress on His shoulders and let His peace come into your life. He is the source of hope and peace and love. Lean on His ways and His mercy.
