HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!
A Week in the Life of Dollycas
On Tuesday I had my Wellness Check with my primary doctor. I joked he needed to see me for proof of life because I hadn’t seen him much this past year because the cancer doctors took care of everything. He did have some good news to share about my lab work. My kidney function has improved and my diabetes has gone back to prediabetic levels. It helps to eat more regular meals and to be able to take medications as prescribed. Cancer treatments really played havoc with both. He did adjust a couple of medications and talked me into a couple of tests but he really was pleased with how well I am doing.
One week post-vaccination my only real side effect was a sore arm but I did take a few naps this week that I am blaming on it too. If the naps continue I will have to come up with a new excuse.
Also on the vaccine front, Daughter #2 received her 1st shot on Thursday.
Friday Natalie arrived for the weekend. Her mom stayed to visit for a while and that sure was nice. On Saturday Charlotte arrived for a visit too so both my favorite little ladies were in the house. Charlotte had the best time playing in an empty moving box.
Soon both girls were in the box and even Daisy tried to join them!
I can’t believe Natalie is going to be 9 in just a few days!
The weekend passed much too quickly. I hope to have the boys visit soon. Kaden is back under quarantine because a student in his class came back to school after Spring Break and promptly had a positive COVID test so his class was sent home. He has promised to head our way with Remi as soon as he is COVID cleared.
How was your week?

Wonderful news….So very happy for you and your family!
So glad to hear that your diabetes and your kidney function are better. That’s wonderful news.
Isn’t it great to see the kids? One of the hardest parts of the last year is not seeing people. That has been rough.
The truth is that we do not know what is going to happen tomorrow. So I will tell you right now that I am happy you are my friend, Lori. Take care!
Glad you got such a good report from the dr!
It’s so good to spend time with loved ones. I haven’t spent much time with mine the past year.
The girls and the dog are so cute!
You DID have a good week, girl. I am so happy to hear the positive attitude of your doc!
Wonderful news!!!! Love the baby in the box picture! Have a great week!
That’s great news about your diabetes and kidney function, and I’m glad you and your daughter are getting vaccinated. Your little grandaughter is adorable! Boxes make the best toys.
