HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!

A Week in the Life of Dollycas

It was a great week at the Caswell’s.

Monday – Memorial Day – Daughter #2 and Son #2 took littlest grands hiking at Devil’s Lake. They all had a great time. Nana and Papa stayed home and enjoyed the air conditioning. I worked part of the day on blog and book tour stuff and then started a new book. A new book I have yet to finish as it had not one but two suicide triggers. I made it past the first one but had to put the book down after the second one. I plan to skip ahead and read the last few chapters so I can try to write a review.

Tuesday was Daughter #2’s birthday. She had the day off from work and enjoyed a relaxing day that included a training class for Daisy. Later we celebrated with a Dairy Queen cake. Sadly Daughter #1 and the boys, and Natalie, and her mom couldn’t join us. My birthday and Mr. Dollycas’s birthdays are next month. I hope we can gather the whole family together to celebrate. We are also looking  forward to a get-together on July 4.

For some reason Friday night my body would not shut down. I tossed and turned, got up to read, watched television, and kept trying to go to sleep. According to my new fitness watch, I slept lightly for 11 minutes the whole night. That meant I was dragging my tail yesterday and we were unable to attend a birthday party when had been looking forward to. It was a really hot day 90+ degrees so I spent the day taking naps, reading, and finishing this post. I just hope I am able to sleep tonight. It is so frustrating when your body gets out of sync and betrays you.

How was your week?

  1. How great that a lot of your family was able to go hiking together. I can understand completely staying home in this heat, though.

I’m crossing my fingers for you that your family will be able to get together for your birthdays next month. We are planning a Father’s Day get together, our first in a long time.

I have so many friends who have lots of trouble with sleeping. It’s very common, I think. Hope you are able to get better sleep soon.

  2. I hope you were able to get back on track for sleeping, insomnia is dreadful. Glad you had time with the family–out of the heat. Looks like another really good week for books. There are so many good cozies out this year. Have a wonderful week!
