HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!

A Week in the Life of Dollycas

We are off today celebrating with family, but we had a little fun this week too.

On Monday evening Daughter #2 and I had the joy of watching Natalie play softball. It was a doubleheader and while her team didn’t win the girls did great. There was a big transition this year as it is no longer coach pitch until the last pitch. The girls can also steal bases and they have really improved their performance on the bases and the outfield. The score of the first game was close but the team they played against in the second game had some much older girls with much more experience. I was so proud of Natalie’s team because they played all out. Natalie got nailed by a pitch in the last inning right on her elbow but she took her base and made it to third base before the game ended. I loved watching these girls play. Hopefully next time Mr. Dollycas can join us.

Thursday was my birthday. Sixty is the new fifty right. We didn’t really celebrate because the kids were either traveling or working. We will probably take the cake with us today. What really made my day was all the birthday wishes I received on Facebook. That is one feature of Facebook I really love. No matter how many miles separate us we can virtually celebrate with each other.

Charlotte and Thomas spent the week away with their other set of grandparents. Their parents traveled several miles to take them and then came home and went back to pick them up. I missed them so much and the hugs when they got home were the absolute best.

How was your week?

  1. I am so glad that your birthday week was wonderful! Welcome to the scintillating sixties! Happy 4th of July to you, as well. Starting the week with a day off is always good for me.;)
