HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!
A Week in the Life of Dollycas
It was a sad week around here as our grandpup crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Thunder was a rescue, an older pit bull mix that really needed a home. He was only with Son #2’s family for about 3 years but he immediately took up a huge part of our hearts. He had been staying with us because we were home all day and therefore didn’t need to be kenneled at all. A senior dog that put up with everything young pup Daisy dished out. They zoomed around the house together and tugged each end of a tuggy toy. He loved his kids, Thomas and Charlotte, and was so tender with them. His name may have been Thunder but he hated thunder. Whenever there was a storm he attached himself to me, usually sitting on my foot where I could give him a lot of love and attention. It’s sure not the same around here without him. He was a cool dog, my Thunderpup, we all miss him like crazy.
Yesterday, was a grand day. I got out of the house and went somewhere that was not a clinic or a hospital. We traveled about an hour away to watch Kaden play football. He played great and they won again 40-13. The team this year is really excelling. I also got to check in with some old friends and Charlotte was busy making new ones and she met a little girl a little younger than her and charmed a group of 8th-grade girls too. It was fun to all get together to cheer on Kaden and his team. The weather was fabulous too. It was pretty foggy on the way there but when it cleared a beautiful day was revealed. Remington has a tournament next week and Kaden has his last game, both at home so I am already planning my next escape from this house to somewhere fun.
How was your week?

So sorry to hear about Thunder. It’s so hard parting with our fur family members.
What wonderful pictures!
The personality that’s in that dog’s face shines through. So sorry for your loss, Hon.
Awww RIP sweet Thunderpup!!
I’m so sorry to hear about the loss of Thunder. You will miss him.
It looks like you had a fabulous time watching Kaden play football. The photos are great.
Doggone Deadly and Mimi Lee Cracks the Code both look very good. I need to be finding a good Christmas cozy for my book club soon.
