HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!
My baby boy celebrated his golden birthday on Monday. Following that is was a typical week of working here at the computer, reading and wound care appointments.
The highlight of the week was yesterday when we gathered for our annual family cookie bake (that was missed last year due to COVID). It was so wonderful to see everyone, most of who we haven’t seen for 18 months or more. Because of my disability I just basically stay out of the way and enjoy all the talking and tasting. My mother-in-law and sisters-in-law do tons of prep work to make this day of success. Then we, the siblings, their children, and their grandchildren show up to ice the cutouts and bake a variety of other cookies and candy. We all had a wonderful time and were able to bring home a variety of treats. We look forward to all celebrating Christmas together soon. I am really blessed to be part of this amazing family.
Daughter #2 and I took a small break in the cookie festivities to go watch Ms. Natalie play basketball. Her team lost the first game but won the second. I love watching kids play basketball and am excited to see them improve each week. It was good to run into some old friends at the games too.

Such a wonderful, fun custom and what a lovely family.
We have always celebrated Christmas with cookie decorating, too. My mom was always the cookie baking champion…each year she would bake 100 dozen cookies! We are planning to do some decorating when we spend several days together during Christmas week.
Burning Pages…A Poisonous Page…Looks like we should stay away from bookstores! Lol!
Have a great week, Lori!
What a lovely tradition your family has! Most of all it is a great excuse to get together and do something fun.
I love the cover of Frosted Yuletide Murder!
Have a good week!
