The Sunday Salon is a Facebook group that has become an
informal week in review gathering place for bloggers.
It is also a place to share our thoughts about things of a bookish nature.
You can also link up weekly on Readerbuzz.
The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by

~ It’s a chance to share news~
A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received, and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!
I have to start this post by saying I was overcome by the injuries, deaths, and devastation from the tragic storms and tornados that ripped through the midwest. All those affected are in my thoughts and prayers.
Another week and Christmas is almost here. We were right about the cats. We added some ornaments and garland to the tree and they pulled on the garland all week and kept trying to climb the tree. Yesterday we woke up to see the tree had “fainted”. No guilty parties in the room but we will need to get some new garland and ornaments for next year. We are not even going to try redecorating it this year until right before the kids and grands arrive next Sunday.
Sadly we had to cancel our huge family Christmas Day celebration due to the rise in COVID cases. We all decided better safe than sorry. I chatted with one of my sister-in-laws this morning and we were thinking a summer get-together could work so we don’t go another year without getting the entire family together.
Monday night Natalie had her Winter Concert. We were unable to attend but her awesome mom taped it so we could enjoy it right from home. I just love her dress.
The work week was super busy trying to get as many tour invitations out to the bloggers before our holiday break. We are always looking for more tour hosts – so BOOK BLOGGERS WE WANT YOU!! You can get more info and sign up here.
I am also reading as fast as I can to finish my 2021 Reading Challenges. It has been a crazy year. It has never taken me this long to finish my Alphabet Soup Challenges and I am actually close to completing the Literary Escapes Challenge where we read a book set in each state.
My Blogoversary is just 12 days away too so I am making plans for that as well. Stay tuned for some great Giveaways!!
So how was your week? Were you Christmas shopping? Decorating for the holiday? Reading a great book? Relaxing in front of a fire? I am nosy and want to know, tell me in the comments.
Weekly Rewind December 13 – 18, 2021
Monday – My Reading Itinerary Monday! – Week #50 – 2021
Saturday – Murder in the Badlands – Ghost & the Camper Kooky Mystery by Rita Moreau #Spotlight
I wrapped presents, baked some cookies, read, and napped a lot since I’m back to playing the insomniac here of late.
Your granddaughter looks beautiful! I agree, her dress is darling…
Trees and cats…😉
Happy Christmas to you and your family!
Our family has talked about doing a summer gathering as well. I think that is a great solution.
Presents are wrapped. Clean sheets are on the bed for our son. Now I can try and complete my reading challenges. I am just two books away from my Goodreads challenge. I think I will make it! Not sure on the other one, we will see.
Have a Merry Christmas!
I think it is wise to limit visiting this holiday season. I guess the new variant is much more communicable. Better safe than sorry, as you said. My Sunday Salon Post
Sadly, we are only getting together with my son and his family this year. I hate to miss another big Christmas gathering but it’s better to be safe, I think.
I’m glad you were able to see Natalie’s concert.
It won’t be long at all until your blogoversary!
