A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received, and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!
Another chilly week here in Wisconsin. We did a little bit of snow but it looks like more fell north and south of us.
Remi went home on Saturday but Kaden stayed until Tuesday. Kaden kept us in line and entertained while also playing games on his Xbox and yelling at the television. They both were great helpers when they were here too. The house sure is quiet when they go home. Both are now back in school hoping the off-time allows the schools to stay open. Time will tell.
On Monday we celebrated a little bit marking that it was one year ago that Miss Daisy Mae came into our lives. She is such a good girl but still learning every day. Her newest thing is barking when we are on the phone. Just like when the kids were little and they always wanted attention as soon as we started talking. We are trying hard to break her of this new skill. She also really hates the cold even with one of her sweatshirts on. Yes, she is totally spoiled.
Monday was also Betty White’s birthday. She would have been 100 years old and if you are anything like me you thought she would live forever and were totally heartbroken at her death. I did make a donation in her honor to the local humane society. This picture was on Facebook – Image by Lindsay van Ekeleburg – It is too beautiful not to share.
I was also so saddened by the recent deaths of Bob Saget, Louis Anderson, and Michael Lee Aday aka Meatloaf.
And, this was our last week with Flat Remi. He is now en route back to his teacher.
Other than that we did our best to stay warm. Days were spent here at the computer and evenings found me snuggled under a blanket and reading.
How was your week?

Haha! Great photo!
As a native of the Gulf Coast of Texas, I am always bewildered about snow and cold weather. My grandparents moved down here to get away from the snows of Pennsylvania. I think my Grandpap was sick of shoveling snow! Of course we have our awful hurricanes, so there’s that.
You certainly got some great new books!
Thank you for this weekly salon. I had a cat named Daisy Mae!
I remember Daisy Mae Yokum in the Lil Abner comic series. Of course how could I miss that name.

Your meme was great. It looks like you had a good week. I did too. My first class meeting took place online and I am now receiving introductory videos from my students. No glitches so far.
The Mystery picture is hilarious!
I’m in Illinois, so I relate about the cold…
Enjoy your coming week.

Cute dog! My dog loves the snow. Whenever there’s fresh stuff on the ground, she rolls in it. I found her sleeping on the deck when it was 18 degrees last week. She’s nuts.
