A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received, and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!
It was a pretty quiet week around here. We didn’t go anywhere and the only person that stopped by here was my visiting nurse to change the bandages on my legs. The wounds are really starting to heal nicely. We were happy to see our regular nurse because she was ill last week and she is a lot of fun and puts up with us and Daisy with a smile on her face.
One awesome thing did happen last week and the week before that I forgot to mention. I received some actual print copies, some are ARC’s, in the mail from the publishers. A few authors have sent me print books as well. I am so excited to be able to start offering print book giveaways again. The COVID virus is far from over but receiving these books feels like one step to getting some normalcy back in my life.
Are you playing Wordle? I first downloaded on App on my phone only to find that wasn’t the hot new game everyone was playing. Same Name – Wrong Game. A good old Google Search got me on the right path. I haven’t missed one yet but have only been playing for 4 days. I am happy you can only play once per day because it could be pretty addictive. If you want to check it out, here is the link – https://www.powerlanguage.co.uk/wordle/.

Good news re your wounds healing!
Wordless seems to be taking over the world! Everyone is posting about it…
Glad you got print books, too…so much easier to read, I thonk!
I’m so glad to hear that your wounds are healing well.
Wordle seems to be everywhere right now. I’ve been avoiding it, because word games are my downfall. It’s nice to know that you can only play it once a day.
And print books are my favorite. I like to have something that I can put out in my Little Free Library, especially children’s books, because we have so many children who don’t have a home library.
Glad to hear your wounds are healing. And so wonderful to have a good nurse.
I didn’t realize that you could only play Wordle once a day. I would think it could be rather addicting.
Yay for the return of print books! I agree, it feels like one little step towards normal.
Have a great week!
I also enjoy Wordle and I’m glad it’s only once a day 🙂 I hope you have a good week.
So glad things are going so well for you. Sometimes the quiet weeks are the best. We are dealing with seeing two new doctors, one last week, and another she recommended tomorrow (Monday), so here we go again…
I meet my new class of students for this semester for the first time this coming Wednesday. Some will need to stay at home, but we will do the best we can. (We opened the semester online due to an Omicron surge.)
Good to hear you are feeling better, and yes, book mail is the best mail ever!
I’m also addicted to Wordle, and as I’m fortunate to be bilingual, I can play 2 a day: one in English, one in French!

I thought it was just me not being able to figure out how the Wordle app works! So IS there an app? Or just the browser version? I’ve been playing the browser version but would really like to get the app, if there is one.
So glad your legs are finally healing!
If you like Wordle, there is a website with the Wordle Archives that lets you play all the ones you might have missed, from #1. Have happy reading and good health!
